Zexaeon
All I'm saying is that, if we're looking at tribute fodder, I prefer the monster you can special summon even if your opponent DOESN'T control a monster. It's common sense not to want to rely on your opponent's cards. Besides, by tributing it for Malicious Edge, I get to draw at the End Phase. And yeah, I'm not saying Light + Cyber doesn't work, it's just too random and out of place in this deck. Edits made.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Well to tribute summon Malicious Edge for 1 tribute you need to rely on your opponent anyway.

Zexaeon
True, but given the situation, I'd still prefer it over Cyber. Your opponent has no monsters = Can still Sp.Summon and can be tributed for Caius, or for Malicious Edge if I revive with Hero City. Opponent Controls a monster = Can still Sp.Summon, and I get Malicious for 1. +1 at End Phase to boot.
