You suck at yugioh. The story of a ban, and a story of insults and such.

Why is it that when I post something to a deck that is bad or the card is banned, a bunch of users stand up and tell me I suck at should stop playing yugioh?

 

I say, "Add a magic cylinders". I get a "You suck at yugioh, stop playing". Yes, the card is banned. So I don't memorize the whole freaking banned card list, and I get called a loser...

 

Well, I could say people telling me "That card's banned, go away" or even a "Learn the ban list idiot." But a "You suck"?

 

This is somewhat besides the point. My main point is a ban I got recently, and in order for you to completely understand, you must hear this story.

 

A while back, around a week or two, I was still noobish in the sense that I didn't pay attention or get the point mostly of sections. I simply was NOT in the habit of telling what is what. Yes, that sounds really retarded, but it the "sad" truth.

 

I posted several stupid things in TCG and discussion. Such as "Good pic, nice OCG 8/10" to knonomi cards. I was called an idiot, a title I deserved for that moment. After a while, a few days later, I got the whole "section" thing, and was in the habit of checking and "got it". However this did not stop a steady stream of users from -repping and insulting me.

 

Don't get me wrong, if I knew what I was doing I would have deserved every single piece of flaming crap they sent at me. However, this was not the case. Around the 15-18 I got messages from several users, their names not being mentioned, telling me I was spamming, and I recieved a total of 2 -reps. I PM'd these users telling them that I was a noob, and didn't realize, and I removed every comment I could find, asking them to tell me if they found any more and to send me the link to them so I could promptly remove them all.

 

After a time of arguing, we worked it out and they understood my position, and removed the -reps.

 

These users appearently sent a complaint to a mod, as any of us would have done, and the mod did not ban me, for any number of reasons, which I could think of a few.

 

These idiotic comments began somewhere around the tenth of June. They have since ben deleted about 6-7 days ago or so, and the problem has since been disolved. However this did not stop farther problems from happeneing.

 

For future reference, if a mod were to ban me, he should have banned me when the angry users told them that I was spamming. Sometime around the 15, a day before a started recieving -reps and such, and once those users found out nothing was going to be done, it would seem logical for them to take it in their own hands and -rep me.

 

A few days after all these events happened, I posted something almost as stupid. I suggested a user with 55 cards in his/her deck add a magical cylinder. I also suggested he/she add a treeborn frog, after realizing this deck was a frog based deck. I realized at that time, that the owner had said there was not much room left for adding cards, but it was too late to remove that comment because other users had already picked up on it.

 

One was Crab Helmet. He said I sucked at yugioh, and to stop playing. I can take a hit, but I argued in turn telling him much more kindly then he told me, that I don't suck because I don't memorize the limit/banned card list. I can play yugioh equally well.

 

As you may or may not expect, he replied rather harshly telling me I masked my lack of intelligence in something or other. After defining a card's effect for a user and telling Crab helmet that I don't totally suck at yugioh, I coincidentally get a ban until the 22nd, 1AM. This ban WAS from Crab helmet, and labled "For spamming the threads and annoying users."

 

He replied in the thread, that I had recieved the ban due to several complaints that I was spammingthe TCG thread, which as I explained earlier, was a misunderstanding and had already been worked out.

 

I was banned for something I did over a week ago, that if I should have been banned, it should have been a week ago, and not coincidentally right after having a heated argument with a moderator.

 

This is obviously an off point topic that I should have been banned for, and makes no/little sense that I was banned coincidentally after having an arguement, for annoying users and spamming, in which I was banned late. Thoughts/comments/suggestions, and Crabhelmet, Now that I have taken my punishment for this old and irrelevant topic, are you going to find another scapegoat topic to ban me for, or have an ARGUEMENT and settle this without resorting to bans, and using mod powers... Me and some of my buds agree that this makes no sense, and is, to put it lightly, "retarded" as I admit I have acted, but it is behind me now, as I wish to keep it there.

not to be mean or anything.....but I saw that thread with the whole argument with crab Helmet, and to me his anger towards you seemed legitamate. You had already been here for a few weeks, and like you said, you were becoming familiar with the site. However, I personlly noticed you still spamming the TCG section. People can only have SO much tolerance. Why didn't you read the first post in that deck's thread BEFORE you posted, so you would know not to tell him to add cards w/o taking any out? I mean, it just seams like the sensible thing to do. Think before you post.

 

However, I do have some sympathy for you, and I do believe that some members are harsh towards you. (I saw one member blatantly tell you to get out of their thread simply on the basis that you annoyed them) So...I don't know, I'm kind of on the fence on this one. I think that you are good person, who has the potential to become a very good member.

lol live with it. The TCG members tend to be more brutal because of the gameplay, and since this is a text based thing they are permitted to be that way. I do not support that they can be vicious and downright cold, but it is the sort of "battle" area of the forum imo....

 

As for CC, people are blatantly rude there but its not by real choice but habit. It is a nice sanctuary if you can get past that xD....

Really, the "you suck" thing is a common thing in the Deck and TCG section, and they were completely legible, I mean come on now, you always suggested to add more Traps even if the deck that you were commenting didn't even need that Trap, plus, you suggested the MOST horrible traps in this game >_>

You seem to enjoy posting 2 or 3-word posts, and replying to other people's posts in other people's threads in a conversation-esque way that should be done over PMs, not in threads. I'm not saying that justifies your ban, but it's something to work on. Also, I recommend following Elsandero's suggestion.

Dj Osiris stays on the cards and games section, but mostly on the cards, taking ''care'' of the Finished Cards/Sets, Realistic Cards and co.

 

Darth Browarod takes cares of the cards section too (I think)

 

Haruno Sakura and Remix Duelist - Graphics and co.I think I've seen them a few times in other sections

 

[b']Crab Helmet[/b] takes care of TCG, so I recommend you to take the advices of the users above me.

Posting bad advice demines the whole deck fixing, if a noob takes your advice their deck will get worse. Respect your ban, respect the moderators and overall improve, if you cant stand the heat get out of the fire

Now, you're defending Crab Helmet.I must say: yes, he's mean sometimes, but is also a Moderator, no, a Super Moderator, and I'm almost sure he became a Super Mod for a reason.

The reason why you do get either flamed, or put down as you call it, is to tell you were teaching you how to play the game by using the right cards. It my be a brutal option, but of course, i had to go through it aswell. And ever since then: Crab, Jesus, Els, HORUS, etc have taught me the best of the game.

 

So just think of this as a step through "Learning" more about the Card Game. Were just toughing you up

Crab is by far the best moderator on this site, we must respect our moderator staff otherwise it will be chaos. Respect the moderators, stardust was banned hes not complaining, take a leaf out of their book. Read some metagame articles. Get better otherwise im sure you will probably be banned again and this time it will probably be longer

Just don't post things like Gilasaurus has good OCG 8/10. That was messed-up. Don't rate cards in the TCG section as if they were custom cards, that's all I ask.

I said I was underexperienced. But in my opinion Darth is the best mod, because he seems to be the most active, and fix things up, instead of spitting in my face. The internet may be a "harsh" place, but in general forums with mods, like this, it is a generally disliked thing, hence flaming is banned... At least directly flaming a user.

 

And the only reason I am "whining" or "complaining" is because I was banned for the wrong reason. Star was banned for a reason, I was banned because I argued with a mod. If I was to be banned, it should have happened over a week ago. But no, I was banned a week later, coincidentally by a mod who I had an arguement with.

 

And jesus, although I was giving bad advice, it doesn't mean their deck would crash, and it certainly isn't a reason for being banned in the first place. Like I said, for now I'm not stepping in TCG, but maybe later I'll read some stuff on banned cards (The main issue of being called an idiot at yugioh) and the whatnot.
