The Slime Lord
It was the first Final Fantasy I played. It got me into the series and it's my favorite. I usually don't like turn-based combat, but this game was an exception for some reason. I don't know, I guess I really liked the CTB bar. I guess my favorite part was during that Operation near the Djose Temple (the lightning temple). I also liked it when you could control Seymour, even if it was only for one battle. J-Max
For me the opening part with Tidus about to play Blitzball and suddenly hearing DUN DUN DAHHHHH! As the Otherworld tuned kicked in. Filled me with happiness for the rest of the game. http://youtube.com/watch?v=IVvADX9DdSo&feature=related PURE HARDCORENESS!

The Slime Lord
controling seymour was awesome and did you see his overdrive? Yeah. I've seen it. I have save right before that whole fight against that Sinspawn, so I can do it pretty much whenever I want. It looks pretty cool, but it's a shame you can't do anything during it. Like how you can manipulate various other Overdrives by certain button combinations or pressing something at the right time. For Seymour's, all you do is watch it. (Though, it does look pretty cool from what I remember)

Dryad
@ Ka Flame: Its the part where Tidus & Co. head to the base in the mountain area (Non-snow). Theirs even a cut scene of the guards bringing a cage of monsters to the sinspawn which it happens to snack on, which then gets loose and after fighting it without Seymour, it comes back which is then for the 2nd battle with it Seymour offers to help fight it. Then SIN comes and the epic battle scene of the soldiers firing against SIN with all sorts of weapons but in the end SIN wins. Favorite Area: Lightning Plains (the lightning their can be so cruel, striking exactly after a battle)Favorite Part: Rikku and her fear of Lightning/Thunder in the Lightning Plains. Zexaeon
FFX was also MY first FF. o.O Crazy. Anyway, I always like Tidus a Rikku talking for the first time - it's just adorable, ya know? Tidus: *spazzes out for a second*...Hi! What is your name? Rikku: ...Rikku. <-- She is adorable the way she says her name right there. Pretty much any part with Tidus and Rikku is my favorite, just because they're so easily the best friends of the group. xD They're so similar and kooky. VainZiler
I literally grew up with the Final Fantasy series (Among other games), and to me, Final Fantasy was by far one of the worst titles. The Sphere Grid killed all originality and purpose of the characters, not to mention was as annoying as the random stat gain from Final Fantasy 2 (Original FF2, not what we know as 2/4). The story was sub-par at best and the characters felt way to stiff, with the exception of Riku and Wakka. The battle system was slightly modified but allowing you to switch party members on the fly made the game way too easy. In short, the only game of the Final Fantasy series that I would rate worse then X, would be VII.

VainZiler
you have no taste in games vain You've just never played a real, worth while game, nor a game that takes any real challenge. Try picking up one of the Disgaea games, it slaps anything Square/Square Enix has done stupid.
The Slime Lord
you have no taste in games vain No. He just gave his opinion. And he also backed it up, which was pretty cool (something everyone should do). Though I didn't necessarily agree with it as a whole, he did bring up some pretty good points. I especially agree with the "FFX was too easy" bit. (As for Disgaea, I'll most likely be checking out the one coming out on the PS3 ;-))
Guest JoshIcy
Rikku's Overdrive 'Trio of 9999' >.> I relied on that move for most of the game Dx and Now I cant even beat sin :?
CeDeFiA
i always used Tidus's or Auron's overdrive to finish off the bosses
The Slime Lord
In the US version of the game, most of the Overdrives are underpowered compared to that of the Japanese and European versions of the games. In the US version, Anima's Overdrive can hit once for 99999 damage. In the Japanese and European version, it hits multiple times. Since there are more hits and since you get Anima pretty late into the game, it's possible to do over 99999 damage. Also, in the European and Japanese versions of the game, you can fight Dark Aeons and some other secret boss with some godly amount of HP. Actually, all of them have a godly amount of HP.
