How much do graphics matter in games to you?

Not at all. I could be playing a Comadore 64 game and still be enjoying myself.

Umm.. Frogger for the Atari = Great Game poor Graphics

Pac-Man (most early consoles and Arcade) = Great Game, sad Graphics

Mario Bros = Same as above...

 

It doesnt matter to me as long as the purpose it serves justifies the amount of visual required to play it...

Yeah, Mario Bros. etc. are all good games just like the current games. There are also some RPGs like Secret of Mana and Lufia that I enjoy more than FFX for some reason. Probably because those are the games I played when I was 4 years old.

 

But, erm, how are those games called again where '@' and '*' ARE the graphics?

The Text-Based Games?... Meh some are fun....

 

And I still play those games mentioned when I have the chance, (at least 2ce a month for nostagia)... Just because I was young playing them doesnt mean they still arent...

I thought text-based is with no graphics at all, like Utopiah...

I really think the graphics matter for games.

Framerate > Graphics Anyday. I get sick of some games having stuttering and unstable Framerates in exchange for fancy Graphics.

A lot, when buying a game it really isn't the first thing on my mind but it's really enjoyable to have a game that has good graphics....

The matter just a bit. I feel that the graphics do add to the realism, but it can also decrease the fun and goofiness of it, which is my favorite in games.

Very Little I can play a N64 of NES game and it brings me as much enjoyment as playing a 360 game.

It worked out for Crysis and Half-Life 2 but The gameplay and story are more important

Take a look at 'ocarina of time'

not the best graphics in the world but it's one of the best games I've ever played

 

same goes for all of the Nintendo games

they never had the State Of The Art graphics (some have great graphics)

but over the playstation and xbox, Nintendo has had the best story lines for games

Not at all. The original mario is one of the greatest games ever, and it has bad graphics. Then there are games like halo 3 that put all they're effort into the graphics and none into the actual gameplay.

Graphics never matter to me....I have games from the XBox 360 that has AMAZING graphics to the DS or Game Boy with not that good of graphics, it all depends on the game....not the quality...

While the graphics help make a game look nicer it doesn't make a differance to me if they are like that of the SNES or PS3.
