Think it should be unbanned?

 

I personally think that this is about the same as a Heavy Storm. You go second, clear your opponent's monsters with this. You go second, clear about 2 of the s/ts that your opponent just set.

Raigeki, destroy all opponent`s monsters. BANNED

Harpie`s Feather Duster, destroy all opponent`s Spells Traps. BANNED

 

Dark Hole, destroy all monsters. BANNED

Heavy Storm, destroy and Spells Traps. LIMITED

 

So Heavy Storm sticks out there at 1. I think it should remain that way.

The majority of Spells go to the grave after being used; the majority of Traps can be chained. But Monsters tend to stay on the field after being summoned, and some require tributes to be summoned. It's very easy to just play Dark Hole, send your Sangan and Card Trooper to the grave, then summon Spirit Reaper or Don Zaloog.

I think Heavy Storm should stay Limited, then un ban Dark Hole.

Uh.. Dark Hole should stay banned, it is too powerful it gives you Field Advantage if you play it right, but sometimes it doesn't.

 

While Heavy Storm doesn't really give you any kind of Field Advantage unless you call S/T advantage, advantage. lol

Monsters are to hard to summon. Like if you wait so long and finally ritual summon a really good monster, or like just summoned Sorcerer of Dark Magic and your like YES! then your opponent plays dark hole, BAM! bye bye... While spells and trap cards are less you know...hard to summon lol.

Like the other day I Summoned Crab Turtle and equipped it with Power of Kaishin, and my opponent played Dark Hole.

 

I was so disappointed.

my opinion Dark hole is better than Raigeki, purely because it can help a lot with a lot of top tier decks and it can generate more advantage to you. In ADV format it can help with DAD, and it can be used for a free field wipe and sangan search. In Trad it makes Chaos decks faster as it can send darks and lights to the grave. I have actually dark holed with my Chaos Deck when my opponent had no field so I could pull out all the chaos at once lol. anyway Id say that if Dark hole was to come back, it would be run in mostly DAD and LS, being as it can help get Darks and Lightsworns, and even Yubel decks to work A LOT faster.

My Opinion: It stays banned

This card gives insane advantage and can be a Raigeki if you control no Monsters. There is also Torrential Tribute which to me is a more situational Dark Hole in the form of a Trap. Dark Hole can stay banned. We still have Torrential Tribute. Use it.

What's your view on Bottomless Trap Hole? How about Hammer Shot? Lightning Vortex, maybe? There are many other ways to kill a powerful monster than simply clearing the field. If your entire strategy revolves around summoning one monster, you should at least be able to prevent an early death.

When I checked the Banned List the other day, I was like WTF?. Cards like Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity, all classics banned? And no I dont think Dark Hole should be unbanned.
