This is the same as Sakeretsu except better. Here's an example.

You have a Don Zaloog on your side of the field in ATK pos. and your opponent has a Vorse Raider and DAD. Vorce Raider attacks. You activate Widespread Ruin, and DAD is destroyed. Sakeretsu would of destroyed Vorce Raider in this situation. But this card is the same as Sakeretsu when your opponent only has 1 monster on their field.

What has Don Zaloog to do with this situation?

Also, if you're opponent doesn't use DAD's effect, he doesn't deserve DAD.

Even when Sakuratse Armor is face-down, why not just wait until DAD attacks? It's basicly the same thing.

This card is the one of the WORST monster destruction cards.

Not one of the worst, but it's definitely NOT one of the best.

And if you had Saku instead of Widespread Ruin, you'd just let Vorse Raider attack, and then activate Saku when DAD attacks.

But since when does DAD decide not to clear backfield?

Probably in some weird situation that you have 11 cards on the field and your opponent only has like, 6 DARK monsters in the Graveyard.
