Anyone have any partical mottos or sayings they try to live their life by. My life motto is "It's better to be Pro active than Inactive"

"Inaction is a weapon of Mass Destruction"

^^ Same thing you said' date=' but it means more to be because the song its from is close to my heart. (lol @ Static having a heart :P)

"We don't need good people to pray and wait, for the lord to make it all straight. There's only now to do it right"

^^ (from the same song)

"I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act."

"A dog is not considered a good dog because he is a good barker. A man is not considered a good man because he is a good talker."

"All wrong-doing arises because of mind. If mind is transformed can wrong-doing remain?"

^^ If you get it, you get it, and you know you get it. If not, its ok.

"The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed."

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become."

"The world is just as we perceive it. All things, bliss's and sufferings, are the result of how we see the world. If we change the way we think, we change reality."

~ Static

Some of the Buddha quotes and the quote above will probably appear in one of the two spoilers below. It's literally copy pasta from Facebook from this point on, and its pretty long, but it basically gives you a look at how important I think quotes are.

[spoiler=Master Quote List]"The most important lesson of history is that nobody ever learns History's lesson."

- Aldous Huxley

"We shall have a World government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World government will be achieved by conquest or consent."

- James Paul Warburg

"There are two levers for moving men - Interest and Fear"

- Napoleon Bonaparte

"A Single Death is a tragedy, but a million is a statistic"

- Joseph Stalin

"Government ties is really why the Government lies."

-Immortal Technique

"Yes I know my enemies

They're the teachers who taught me to fight me

Compromise, conformity, assimilation, submission

Ignorance, hypocrisy, brutality, the elite

All of which are American dreams"

- Zack de la Rocha

"Two Crews Cannot exist on the Same Street. In the case that this occurs, one crew will either drive the other crew to another street by force, one crew will leave without conflict, or in the case of the Crew V.s Crew, the crews will merge, and become one bigger crew, and accumulate more streets until it becomes a mob."

- Amal

"As if We can Kill time without injuring eternity"

"A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone."

- Henry David Thoreau

Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.

The ultimate authority must always rest with the individual's own reason and critical analysis.

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.

-The Dalai Lama

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.

- Buddha

"Necessity is blind until it becomes conscious. Freedom is the consciousness of necessity."

"The more man puts into God, the less he retains in himself. The worker puts his life into the object; but now his life no longer belongs to him, but to the object."

"Every act and event is the inevitable result of prior acts and events and is independent of human will."

- Karl Marx

“A lie told often enough becomes truth”

“Can a nation be free if it oppresses other nations? It cannot.”

“Fascism is capitalism in decay”

“Sometimes--history needs a push.”

“There are no morals in politics; there is only expedience. A scoundrel may be of use to us just because he is a scoundrel.”

“Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever”

“Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave owners.”

- Vladimir Lenin

[spoiler=Static Quotes]"The world is just as we perceive it. All things, bliss's and sufferings, are the result of how we see the world. If we change the way we think, we change reality."

"If the World forgets its Faith, It will find its Future."

"Those who know the truth can live among others of indifference in peace."

"Sedition Is The Action Of The Righteous Man."

"To judge without reason, to base something entirely on emotion, is to be blind"

"If we absolutely have to live through the mind, let us enjoy all parts of it"

"To be free of faith is to be freer than the freest god fearing man."

"Religion is the spark to the flames of ignorance."

"The Opposite of Faith is Logic, and Logic is Truth."

"When the truth is Self Evident, nothing more needs to be said."

"If a government were to teach self-contentment rather than economic indulgence, their whim should be shared with all the people of the land."

"Let us evolve from the failure that is Capital society. Let us drop the bonds of economy, the chains of classism, and the hatred bred from difference."

"Mercy killing is less cruel than hoping for life for one in suffering"

"Immorality is Humane. Tis Perception."

"If we eliminate difference, we can deliver peace." - Spoken in reference to how we educate our youth. Don't take it the way I did not intend it to be taken.

"Expect the unexpected." ~ Lol got it from Cardcaptors in the 2nd Grade, but it helps.

"The only one who can make a situation worst for you is yourself."

"Nothing is real. The figment of your imagination you call reality is only man's pathetic and ignorant interpretation of the truth set around him.'

Also, "Logic is illogical when it tries to explain the mysterious unknown, which is autonomous, and is not bound by the limitations of the man-made concept called "logic"
