5Ds Japanese/Sub/Manga Official Discussion Thread

We already know this' date=' and I already knew there'd be a 3rd season next time read. I already mentioned the 3rd opening and ending coming out this July.

And you were also among those who thought 5D's would end after 64.

Old Momentum is located within Satellite. It is entirely possible Godwin was still in the area that would become Satellite when the Zero Reverse occurred. For all we know, Rudger could have stripped Rex of his position, basically making him a regular citizen after Zero Reverse. The true reason he went to Neo Domino City was not to achieve freedom, but to begin his path to Godhood. If he could make it so that three specific people, two of them being Satellite residents, would receive a specific one-of-a-kind trading card, he was able to advance through the rankings of Security in two years at most, judging from when Aki received her Deck.

Hmm... perhaps the Savior version of Power Tool Dragon is the 5th Dragon.

I've suggested this already' date=' but apparently such a claim was too hard for either Wyhe or Hallelujah to understand.

Godwin has been known to pull Xanatos Gambits. (More like roulettes, actually.)

I think it's safe to say that over 70% of the events that occurred after the Zero Reverse were all part of his Xanatos Roulette, namely how the Power Trio got their Signer Dragons and the entire Fortune Cup.

The God of the Underworld doesn't even look that much like the Fifth Dragon.

Yeah, except for the wings, the head, and the torso.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WMG/Yu-Gi-Oh5Ds Short, but existent.

EDIT: Swapping around the equation there:

Fifth Dragon - Dark Tuner Level In Badass = King of the Underworld

As for Power Tool's relevance, it's an effigy.

Probably' date=' somthing along the lines of, Rudger lost his arm to, but the one in the jar was Godwin's.

[/quote']

And they're probably gonna add an arm to Rudger at his Zero Reverse scene, too. (WAY TO RUIN THE POINT)

*Looks really closely*

I still want a good explanation for this.

Character page?

Again' date=' I want a good explanation plot-wise how this is even possible.

Power Tool Dragon is the mechanized body and the King of the Underworld is the soul?

4Kids is far too lazy to do that. They would just make it so that the shadows obscure the blood even more.

During Rex' duel, from his own thoughts, we learn that Rudger possessed the Birthmark before the Zero Reverse - or at least that he had a connection with Uru and the Jibakushin before it. After all, it is kinda hard to summon a Geoglyph (seen from opening) if you're not a Dark Signer. Trust me, I've tried.

And here, I quote Rex:

"In the end, the darkness consumed him." Since he was a Signer at the time, and became a Dark Signer, the above quote can be translated as: "Uru came in and kicked the Fifth Dragon's ass." The Fifth Dragon melded with the King of the Underworld, creating the shape we've seen in the last episode.

However, something unexpected happened. Rudger cut off his arm, preserved the Head Birthmark. So forth, the Fifth Dragon lived on - as an shell of it's former self, Power Tool Dragon.

It could have happened, but it's most likely wrong.

Anyway...I wonder how the dub intends to explain Godwin not being the fifth signer' date=' rofl.

[/quote']

Actually...seeing as how he glued Rudger's arm to himself, Goodwin is technically both a Signer and Dark Signer.

The dub may actually get away with this...destroy them now!!!

Just realized something:

Episode 2: Godwin's first appearance

Episode 22: Godwin tells Jack that he lost his arm in an "accident"

Episode 42: Godwin gathers the Signers at the Sky Temple

Episode 62: Godwin reveals that he's a Dark Signer

It takes Godwin about twenty episodes to advance the plot, but every time he does it, it increases exponentially. LOOKING FORWARD TO 82

But that will be Season 3...maybe ep 82 will have a flashback with Goodwin in it.

Please do remember the mysterious shadowed man whom Goodwin talks to
