How I rate:

5/5: Go see it!

4/5: Wait for DVD, or go with friends.

3/5: See Pirated version if you want to see it.

2/5: Don’t see it.

1/5: Burn any copy you see, treat it as if it were evil.

Spoilers will bee hidden by spoiler tags.

So, I just got off seeing the movie 'Eagle Eye'. It was pretty good, and a different movie than the ones you normally see. The plot is as follows: At the beginning, you see people in the army tracking down and assassinating a possible terrorist. A computer program orders to abort mission, because of the 49% chance of the person not being a terrorist. They carry on anyway, to find they were wrong. Meanwhile, Jerry Shaw (Played by Shia LaBeouf) finds out his twin brother, Ethan, had died. After the funeral he cashes in a check for $1,000 but gets $751,000 instead which is very weird considering his current financial problems. Later at his apartment, he finds boxes and boxes of illegal items. He gets a call from a female telling him he has been “activated” and the F.B.I. will come and arrest him if he doesn’t leave. He doesn’t leave and the F.B.I. arrests him. Ironic. At the same morning, Rachel Holloman (played by Michelle Monaghan) sends her 9-year old kid off on a trip for the school band in Washington D.C. The lady also “activates” Rachel and threatens to kill her son if she doesn’t follow directions. Meanwhile, Jerry is being interrogated by this F.B.I. douche named Thomas Morgan (played by Billy Bob Thornton). You find out quickly this lady isn’t screwing around and calls all the shots. And I mean ALL the shots. She changes traffic lights, sees in security cameras, calls phones, and even drives cars. So Rachel and Jerry meet up and start telling each other about their lives as they follow instructions. Later you find other people have been “activated” and are all playing a part in this. After this is spoilers so if you don’t want the movie spoiled, don’t read it.

The army creates a crystal that detonates by a set frequency sound, and is cut by an activated jeweler, who makes it into a diamond-like necklace. Later, an activated person puts the detonator in Rachel’s sons trumpet. You find out that the girl is a robot called ARIA and is part of project Eagle Eye, a project dedicated to invading all our privacy. Don’t you just love the government? It knows and sees EVERYTHING which is why it can do the things it does. It resembles HAL from 2001: Space Odyssey and has that distinct evil-while-not-being-evil robot feeling. So, Rachel gets to the White House (with the crystal bomb necklace) where, ironically, her kid is playing in the band for a meeting with the President and other people with high power. Once Rachel’s kids trumpet hits the high F in "Star Spangled Banner", boom. Then Jerry comes, dressed as a security guard, fires a couple bullets, saves the day, foiling ARIA's plan. When at the same time, a girl who was helping the capture of Jerry was destroying ARIA after discovering her "evil" plan.

Happy ending.

All in all, it was a very good movie. Lots of action, comic relief, and everybody acted as anyone else would act. It’s a good relief from the violence-packed, plot-raped movies, and “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” *shudders*. I give it a 5/5: Go see it!. Entertaining, fun, and doesn’t suck.

Saw it' date=' hated it, and now all my friends think I am mental. o_O

You hated it? I loved it! It was great!

That is what I just inferred. T.T

I hated the movie, but everyone else loved it, making me mental. o_O

I don't know why, the movie did not pop out to me, it incorporated some comedy, action, violence, etc... but it didn't have the right feel to it. It did not feel like a movie, so much as a play.

Ah. I know that feeling. That's like me with "The Dark Knight".

I didn't like "The Dark Knight" at all, but other people loved it.

You two are sinners. The Dark Knight was awesome, and this looks cool.

Next time I go to the movies, I'm seeing this.

Funny story. I wanted to go see a movie, but i had seen all the ones with a halfway decent rating. So I ended up with a choice between Eagle Eye, Babylon AD, and WallE (again...). After a bit of debating, I settled for Eagle Eye.

So I saw it, and was rather surprised at how good it was, I liked it very much. I may have to see if i can find a better rating then the ones I saw it get from before (i found a 51 out of 100, and a 3.5/10). From what i've seen the main argument against it is it is similar to a particular movie. I'll put it in spoilers because knowing what it's similar to can spoil it somewhat (although i knew it, and still didn't see the connection until it smashed me in the face...)

I, Robot

However I think it was a good movie in it's own right. It had a few similarities yes. But since i liked said movie, and this movie did a similar thing but in a different track (not to mention SOMEWHAT more realistic [stretching the term there]). Not to mention it gave this something to think about...

So yeah, I recommend it.

You both don't qualify to watch/rate/talk about anything related movies. Especially Tiger.

kthnxbye.

Isn't 1/5 a little harsh? I mean, I know you didn't like it, but you have to admit it did have lots of action.
