Alright' date=' let's say that some one owns a Shop thread... and they want to close it down for for a week, and they want it locked, it'd be pretty tidious for the moderators to have to lock the shop thread and then unlock it a week later. Making the job of a moderator somwhat easier, but too much.

Also, I am sorry, I did not look at the times, sinse I barely ever do, I really should. Anyway, I am sorry for being rude and seeming like I was mini-modding, I just did that under impulse, sense I do the very same thing at school, I just hate arguements that are worth nothing to either side.

[/quote']

Unlocking and locking, are fairly easy, but responding to reports is what takes the time.

Anyway, I do believe a new Suggestions thread will be opened with more "stricter" rules, and less pointless argueing/comments.

Yay for another thread that eliminates the purpose of an entire forum.

Ok, we can go back to not listening to any of you.

Yeah, that seems like a fabulous idea.

Well' date=' I do have one thing that would greatly benifet the forum. Aloowing members to lock threads that they have posted. This would save the moderators a whole bunch of time and effort. The only thing is, a member would only be allowed to lock his own threads, this way, if they do not need the thread either permanently or temporarily, they can close it down on there own, that way Moderators can spend more time tracking down threads that are flooded with spam or are breaking the rules.

[/quote']

If a VIP group was created, they should have the power to lock/unlock their own threads, and for obvious reasons, if he uses his powers wrongly, and does not deserve the spot, he is demoted. Easy Peasy Squeezy.

But meh, this idea is tiny compared to the other ideas.

Oh, and it's real logical for the great Staff Team to ignore its members, right? Yeah, it's about as logical as Unencyclopedia.

A majority of the old moderators should still be fired simply because they were not good leadership material.

I should be reinstated for my excellent performance in operating my forum in the past.

As for forum organization' date=' I propose something along the lines of this for General; everything is neatly categorized and concise.

tea, remove the link from your post, a picture would have been fine.

Not trying to be a dick, but, you only had to control one forum, of course people are going to expect that the forum would have been neatly run.

So?

What can be said of the other moderators that had control of only one forum?

From my initial statement to unemployment, the TCG forum only saw one or two reports.

Did the others deliver immediate and effective results like I did?

I think not.

Here's a couple of my opinions for choosing moderators:

>I believe that each staff member of YCM should select at least three candidates' date=' in which all of the selected candidates go through a voting process in the moderator/administrator forum. Then, the top five candidates from results of the voting process, should be interviewed by at least two or more moderators.

>Also, I've noticed that most of the threads that contain content such as, "Who do you think would make a good moderator?" have been locked. I understand that some were locked because a few members began to flame one another, but in my opinion, they shouldn't be locked - I don't believe they go against any of the rules of this site, and the thread could serve as a reference to the staff. That way, we can scrap the idea of another moderator application thread.

You seem to have awesome ideas, and yet they all should be allowed. The second rule doesn't really work, as it would cause to spam and all that 'I am better than him' stuff comes up.

And these suggestions (as Dark Raver previously said) makes you look like you're saying 'Can I be a mod?'

It does?

I didn't know that...

Well, I am more interrested on the second General Section mod idea...please inform us as soon as you make a final descision on it. That's the main thing I care about. Sure, I do care who it is, I'm alright if it wouldn't be me, so I do prefer it to be someone worthy of it. Infact, I suggest we also have a vote from the members so that the staff team can take YCM's public opinion into consideration as well. You want to appoint someone good, but not someone the public will disagree on as well...

HTF would voting work? A poll? People would just vote for freinds. A poll of the mods prhaps?

It has already been suggested.

[spoiler=Glasstin's suggestion.]

Well, the way it would work is that the staff team chooses 5 candidates that they deem worthy, and then they see which of the choices the members aggree on, and then they discuss the poll results and then they come down to a final descision! :) So this way, the moderators are the nominators, instead of the members. This will cut the likeliness of people nominating only themselves and their friends, as well as the fact that the ones who are nominated shouldn't be allowed to vote, because then there's the possibility of them voting for themselves and then completely throw off the balance. Another suggestion to add to this would be to only let one vote per I.P. Address, so that no one can just make another account (which is against the rules anyway) and then keep voting for the same person with different multi-accounts.

Still, people would vote for friends.. :\.

And altough you ''don't want to'' you're still talking the: ''ohIwanttobeamod'' language.

I preffered the emo Meti that you were back in Sept.

Anyways, since Raven has being trying to cut down spam is polls, I propose a ''Name Change Sugestion Thread'' thread. Title talks by itself. Should cut down those polls.
