Chaotix®
Currently, YCMaker does not allow AMV contests, as he believes that it would be copyright infringement. With credits to the Anime and owner of the music, it should not be much of a problem. Because, YCM itself uses blank Yu-Gi-Oh cards, which would be copyright infringement against Konami Yu-Gi-Oh Cards, but since that is not a problem, this should not be one either. Cin
To add to this, another forum I've been on has amv contests for over 3 years (longer than I've been there) and they lose probably 1 or 2 entries a year to Youtube copyright cracking down, but the forum has never been targeted for activities involving AMV contests. I should know I've been in charge of them for 3 years.

♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
Kiwi-kun... I support the acceptance of it, but I don't really see the point... Probably less than 5% of the people here actually KNOW how to correctly make an AMV, so it would be really difficult to get many competitors in the contests anyway... the bucket 90
I really support the idea since it would be awesome to see the art of the people who paticipate =).Although i agree with Strawberry-nii-chan... (Calling you like that makes me feel wierd so im gonnal call you Tetraslash xD)Like 10 people of 180,000 + know how to make AMVs so it be like unfair. It's like if i make a hack contest almost 20 people know how to hack and for those non hackers (that includes me) would be unfair. But i still support the idea =D
♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
If you don't like calling me by my name, call me Strawberry-hime then. It's not about it being UNFAIR, but more like, people don't know how, so there will be no contestants, and it would end up as free reps.

Cyber Altair
I don't support really, you can still have underground contests which is also 200x more fun.

Phantom Roxas
http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-83522.html I disagree. That was a low blow. You and Darth ruined the fun in that for me and everyone who wanted to enter. This site violates as much copyright as AMV Contests, so you shouldn't be talking. Brushfire
I'm not talking at all, lol. I'm typing. I think I've proved in that thread that it shouldn't be allowed. I suggest this is brought up in the Mod Forum and my source should be mentioned in there.
Cin
Point Faint: Using Konami's cards to make your own cards must break copyright itself. This site has more chances of being sued for that. If the videos are hosted on youtube, there will be no problem like I said the forum I've been on has had them longer than I've been there and had no issues. God if you're that worried make it so you have to a certain number of post to view it. If you wanted to be extreme, no one would ever post anything, because they wouldn't be able to make them, for example sig making your modifying an image which is messing with a copyrighted image. Shriek on Youtube has never been sued he's uploaded all of GX and 5Ds (the latter with subs) just reported and thrown off, he's come back 5 times. Seriously unless someone visited this site they wouldn't see the amv contest section anyway, Also the music companies are the ones more likely to want the video removed than the anime company, infact my 3 removed videos 2/3 have been the Artist's Label. If you're arguing against AMV contests not being held you might as well dismantle the site.....I've got more experience holding and running amv contests than anyone here. Brushfire
He didn't "nail" me at all. We both have fair points. However, just to shorten this debate I'll just go ahead and agree with you considering that I've had content removed regarding music even though the content was video copyrighed material. Phantom Roxas
The only difference is that Blood Rose is actually a Mod and actually brought up far more valid reasons without indirectly insulting members to a degree, so yes, she did nail you. Brushfire
Being a mod does not increase the validness of her comments. Period. She did not bring up any more valid reasons then I did, and I didn't insult any members to any degree. So no, she didn't nail me.
Phantom Roxas
You claim to have a source within the mods. Who is this? Also, she's the Mod, and by extension, a part of the forum staff. Furthermore, she actually pointed out that this site itself violates copyright. As for insulting members, I was mainly referring to me, since I felt somewhat offended that you had to use my thread as an example, and you were the one who pretty much ruined it in the first place. But I'll admit, she didn't beat you. ("Nail" just sounds so wrong)
