hmm,card archive being in this thread?

i think once we get too much card perhaps we can transfer it somewhere else?

if you know how to make your own MyBB or Invision Board website then make one and put the cards there?

I am afraid at the pace this TCG is progressing we will need another website to support this sooner....

anyways:

you should post a game basic section' date='the card rules in the spoilers are fine but some aren't cover,here are some ideas:

  1. once again i must say,explain "sac"
  2. areas of a card (picture style) i can do this if you want
  3. rule book,not really like a real one but something like explaining the instructions in picture AND words because it seems to me people would rather read a guide full of pictures rather than a block of text(off-topic:like this post) i can also do this if you want
    i might also make a printable version so you just layer them an staple them together O.O

  • place a list of types
  • place a few basic guidelines to making cards
  • give a few sources for images (PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE DEVIANTART)
  • tell them don't choose colorless images or super-oversized ones????

  1. sub-types(too ripped of of yugioh type so consider it) or dual types where there is 2 types?(saves effect space)
  2. differently colored frames?some different card types? you can give me the "taken apart" version of the template so i can color the frames(not border) different colors.
  3. i like the icon idea' date='but i am trying to think of an idea to put in the areas under the atk/spd,i would say having a picture of something like a pierced armor so that means it inflicts the difference in SPD to your opponent but to yugioh like.

hmm,not very good at card making but i will try to make a card sometime sooner....

cards that can be used on opponents turn,i count this as done except we didn't make a card like that yet.

 

another website?i can use those forum generators or you can make a MyBB or Invision yourself because i can't make those :(

 

a source of images can be the ones selizabeth posted(i believe a DA member) or we can use google too >.>

 

i can make differently colored frames once you give the picture of template without anything else but the frame(not silver borders) like alchemy=red,sorcery=blue,monster=beige?,etc.

 

like i said,i can do the things i listed i can help you in,once you fill in that form to make the first custom dice and once PS stops closing for no reason.

 

more super long suggestion posts coming your way so keep your eyes peeled(not literally) for more super-mega long suggestion posts,so grab some popcorn because you will have a long time reading this.

 

ALSO:it seems to me that your TCG game mat in sig+the link in my sig isn't enough to get a decent amount of posts in this thread,perhaps make a banner or some sort of advertisement?

 

 

doesn't affect the game:

make the boxes for the game mat much more larger,the mat must be real huge if it's going to be like that.there are many blank spots under and around the boxes,use them.

i can pre-make the forum with the forum generator if you want.

sorry to seperate in 2 posts,this is not like me....

but the new cards are cool,i would suggest you credit people for holo sheets and stuff or things can get pretty nasty.........

 

so far it just seems to me you should credit the people you got the holo sheet from,i can see [Dark]'s holo sheet in there,so credit.

ALSO:i suggest you make archetypes like in yugioh,i wouldn't call it archetypes or my sig is a lie but perhaps some other name.Currently,i only see the monsters with "Master of _____" in it that are archetypes,make some more,they are easy and provide you with many cards to add to your card collection.

 

BTW,if i am going to make a picture/word rulebook i think we need some kind of a theme in this game,like old yugioh is some kind of egyptian old thing and 5Ds is like tech,i need this so i can make a background for the guide.

 

ALSO2:i can see some mistakes when you made the cards,remaking them wouldn't be much of a pain would it?

maybe you should get GIMP because you can save it as a .PSD so when you open it again,you can edit the font if you made a mistake.

yeah, I know I've made some mistakes on the cards.. I usually fix them later though, lol, I've fixed a couple a while ago... I would say the time period would be any time until the dark ages.. Maybe we'll add modern type cards and maybe eventually add futuristic.. who knows though.. Maybe for the futuristic, we could make a new type called Space.. lol

 

Back to when you said about art work.. do you know anyone or maybe even yourself that can draw really good? I keep on forgetting to ask my one friend.. I'll look around for people on dA. see if anyones generous enough ;p

i was going to try to find one but i guess this is ok,PM me what you want on the first page and i will try to make it,most likely the title page,take your time,i can stay for long amounts of time >.>

meanwhile,i will try to add pictures to the wiki.

 

EDIT:60,000 views,this is like the best custom TCG EVER!!!!

umm,could you PM me what you want the title pag of the rule book to look like or do i have to think it from scratch myself again?

i hope you don't have any doubts about me thinking it from scratch because i made a cool looking card back.(in my opinion it looks cool,to other,it might look meh or suckish)
