Phantasy Dreamz
You may like Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament too. Personally I felt Tekken 4 was ok' date=' but it certainly fell WAY below T5[/quote'] played both...... dont like it much...T5 is better.......... considering the speed of the fighting....but im never a fan of Tekken...... [in my opinions]and DBZ fighting games are not my style of game.....you can fly away too far from your opponent...needs space limit... I'm a tekken fan, although the major flaw in the game is that it's 100% air. funny......... i hate tekken and owns noneimma streetfighter fan..owns a whole lot of streetfighter games...from sf2 on Sega to anthology/anniversery collection on ps2...and most in between like... mvc/x men vs streetfighter on ps.. ragnarok1945
I've yet to play Armageddon or Shaolin Monks. Are they good?
Phantasy Dreamz
yea........ only the journey mode in shaolin monk...the fighting....... armageddon dominates..
Jericho
DBZ fighting games are not my style of game.....you can fly away too far from your opponent...needs space limit... Have you played the DBZ games? Its so you can hide from your oppenent and sneak up on them and/or get time to charge. P1 5 punch comboP2 blockp1 low kickp2 falls downREPEAT p1 10 hit combop2 teleport behind p1 for 12 hit combo ending in a charged kick that send the opponent flying halfway across the field. Now p2 has a few choices here:1. Use what is called Dragon Rush and zoom to p1 and continue the combo by knocking them away with the option of another dragon rush or options 2' date=' 3, or 4.2. Charge energy meter.3. Use one of 3 energy blasts to hurt p1 who is still moving back from the kick/Dragon Rush4. Use a status move like recharging all your energy in 2 seconds or increasing your stats.[/quote']
ragnarok1945
yea........ only the journey mode in shaolin monk...the fighting....... armageddon dominates.. Though from youtube vids, I didn't like the create a fatality in Armageddon. You can only do a certain range of moves.

Jericho
Interstingly enough, you didn't comment on the comparrisons of combat. So DBZ is more in-depth. Big deal.
Phantasy Dreamz
as i say.....what really kills dbz fighting is the limit of space...you can run way way far from your opponent..... that sucks..
Jericho
But you don't have to. If you don't want to recharge or regroup, you can just kick their ass up close and personal.
Larxene
DBZ Tenkaichi 3 is made of win. Castlevania Judgment has a complex fighting system as well, but the camera is a pain in the ass.

uzumakinaruto93
Oh yeah i forgot the last gen fighting games i had. Currently i own:VF5, Tekken 5 dark ressurection (on ps3 with online), DoA2 (DoA4 demo), SvR08 if you consider that a fighting game, SC4. and a bunch of tekken games on ps2. I probably have a few more but those are all I can rememberI'm looking for: Street fighter anniversary collection (Mostly since 3rd strike is in it) and marvel vs capcom 2 Also not a fan of DBZ so other than that any good games? ragnarok1945
MVC2 is supposedly better. You'll certainly get addicted to it much faster, I'll tell you that much
The Slime Lord
It's probably been said before, but Soul Calibur IV is pretty good. So is Soul Calibur II if you can find it. I've also heard that Street Fighter II is one of the best fighting games ever. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I've never played it before, so I wouldn't actually know. EDIT: Nevermind, you already have Soul Calibur IV. :P
ragnarok1945
actually if you don't want to learn to much different moves, stick with SC 3 and 4, don't buy SC
The Slime Lord
I only said SC2 because I thought it was one of the best in the series. Also, if one were to get a fighter game from another series, they'd have to learn a bunch of new moves anyway.
ragnarok1945
Hmmm. Well I personally like SC4 because the AI is smarter compared to SC2 (well depending on where you set the difficulty)
The Slime Lord
I like SC4 better than SC2, but not just because of the AI. I think everything in the game is an improvement over things in past games. Still, also think SC2 is a pretty good game, just not quite as good as SC4. ragnarok1945
*shrugs* perhaps. My I felt after playing SC4 for sometime, SC2 felt rediculously easy
The Slime Lord
I actually haven't played SC2 in a really long time. But even when I first got it, I remember parts of it being really easy. SC4 was harder. Especially when fighting The Apprentice. :/
ragnarok1945
The Apprentice is the only character in the entire game I actually felt was hard. Most others (arcade mode) I could beat in a single try, half of them without even getting hurt for both rounds.
