Any good fighting games??

Most if not all Arcade style fighting games are preferred.

But here are my 2 favorites.

Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (Arcade and Ps2)

- Unlockable cheats. And has the smoothest controls' date=' I have ever felt for ANY fighting game to date. When you play, you might as well have been throwing the punches yourself. Bar none in terms of graphics, control, speed and fluidity. Not much to say other than that, it is the [b']perfect arcade fighting game[/b]. Period.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection

- If not, completely for the new outfits and addition of Dragunov, (I will ignore Jinpachi as he is just... there). Dragunov plays like a combination between Bryan and King. His combo's are slower than Bryan, and are not as lengthy as King. But still manages to be top tier with his limited quick moves, (not as useful as much other characters with it comes to Aerial Kick Stuns). He still plays as a dream.

- Then comes the overall game itself, using old fashioned Button-Mashing Gameplay. Stories are in-depth, (albeit slightly cliche') and really get you interested in how each person came to play. Each character is good at somethings, (ie: Raven is weak to low attacks since many of his are of aerial nature. Or Law who while fast can easily be blocked with a standing guard/auto block), and weak at others. You will quickly find you like and continue to learn all of their combos. Whether you like arcade games or not, definitely worth to pick up due to the varying learning curves and easy to get gameplay.

This.

You consider button mashing to be considered cheap?

And as for myself I'm still learning Dragunov (spent too much time playing Bryan and Paul to bother before)

I myself prefer Finger-Burners like SF.

But no I do not, people who strictly Button-Mash are easy to beat, since they have no learning curve and cannot really counter.

But that is just the learning curve, button-mashing style. If you choose to learn combo's that whole thing changes completely.

you know some people I find got WAY too lucky on the controller. When I first began playing SC4 (by then I've only played SC3 for a month, wasn't very good at it yet, but certainly past noob level) one guy beat me by doing nothing but bashing his fist into the controller (personally I find insulting that something like that could work, especially since Namco specifically said button mashing won't work in beating SC4)

Standing Guard + Occasional hits.

Beats any form of Button-Mashing, everytime. And DO NOT forget the fast aerial kicks, stuns any button-mashing combo.

I assumed Fighting Games were games in which you fought. Now apparently they have a different definition. Care to explain this definition?

I don't not read things bra. You obviously haven't played any of the games I've listed' date=' as they each involve large amounts of fighting.

Fighting game is you' date=' and possibly a friend, pick a characters, fight against opponent till the life bar drops to 0 then do it again[/quote']

-_-

And I really want to play SF3, I just can't find it

Sad to say it, but. Armageddon was slower than all hell, compared to Deception.

If you ever get a choice, buy Deception. Armageddon is only for the hardcore fans.

Deception is essentially a more complete version of Deadly Alliance.

It took everything it had, and made it better.

Sadly, it also introduced a few characters I hate.

Kira and Kobra. -_-" Just use Kano and Jax, you get a better result.

Konquest was also awesome, taught you nicely. But combo strings were much shorter, shortening the speed.

Mortal Kombat Chess was introduced. Stage Fatalities came back etc.

Very fun game overall. Better than armageddon ._."

Think Tetris. But smaller and little fighters that fought each other, chiibi style.

You know a lot of my friends said they never understood why people choose Onaga for such a game since he blocks too much of the screen
