It's not snowing here ATM, but the winds are predicted to pick up. The internet is probably going to be down within a matter of time.

 

Anyways, does anyone here have Broodwar? I really want to put up some custom levels for people to try out. If there's no one here that has Brood war, I'm going to put it in Showcase.

You children. You need to learn classic games. Starcraft is stratagy/war game, originally made in '97. Brood war was made in '99, whci came with more of the storyline.

 

The three races:

 

Terran - humans and their technology. They fight to protect the innocent, although some of the commanders have other ideas in mind.

 

Protoss - these futurisitc aliens thrive on spiritual energy, and believe to be chosen by the gods to defeat the zerg.

 

Zerg - the rabid aliens seek to destroy, and nothing else. They cannot communicate with the protoss or terran, and onyl wish to destroy them, and rule the stars.

This is my third snow day in a row. Monday' date='tuesday,and today were closed cause of snow. Its sounds farfethced but its ture. We got almost 30 inches of snow here.

 

anyways about my life. im starting to think im not a good artist at all. I cant color. And my fallen angles arent good.

you don't need to know how to color with all those fancy details some people do to be an artist. Your lines are good on their own while you calmly practice with colors if you have the time here and there. Your drawing style is almost exactly like I drew about 6 years ago, then again, I'm 19(I'm old)..... you could potentially surpass me when you come to my age :D

sorry If I'm sounding a little too full of myself here.. I actually hate to say stuff where I admit that I'm good at something or using myself as a reference for x reasons... ^-^"

anyways, the intention is what matters... xD

Thx sleepy! Dont feel like your full of yourself your really good. I just need to go into like a crazy drawing mode XD. Im working on something now and ill post it when im done.

@Fuzzie: I played Starcraft like, once. I always prefered Age of Empires 2. I'm used to that game.

But still, Diablo 2 is even better than any of those. I never finished a game; the closest I was to do it, was when I just had to fight Diablo itself, but then I had to uninstall the game for hard drive space.

 

 

We are having 2 weeks straigh of around 40°C and I'll never see snow outside of the friger if I don't make a trip to another country, or something...

Thx, idk why i think that. i just know practice makes almost perfect XD

 

Anyways, u guys arent guna believe me but i got a full week of school cancellation due to the snow. Plus we get monday off so that means i got a 8 day vacation. its awsome

If it takes you 15 minutes, you need to experiment and try other ways of doing it. I personally sketch a drawing, then add details and define the sketch. Then if I ever have time again I'll re-draw everything in pen + my usual cross-hatching shading. Of course I have almost never done a single of my scanned drawings without taking breaks. One day, 15 minutes, then 1 hour another day.. and so on. The most time I've spent in a single drawing (color included) is (working parts of it on different days)..... about 12 hours worht of work I guess?

although I didn't know the material I was using so, I gave new hands of painting and experimented here and there... lol.

i would love to play it with you, but i wont be getting it when it comes out, im already getting assassins creed 2 for PC and Diablo 3 for PC, thats $100 xD

im also trying to save up for a wacom cintiq 12wx, and everytime i get somewhere it gets postponed by a game or something arg! xD

 

 

Oh. Well, do you have Broodwar? The Campain Editor is so much fun, IMO.

 

I thought you already had one of those pads?

 

i have the wacom bamboo, which is a tiny little thing xD

and u have to look at the screen while drawing on the pad, kinda annoying lol

i want the cintiq, because you can draw directly on the pad while looking at the pad, it has its own screen :D

 

I can believe the snow thing. You must live in...NC?

hey guys :D

 

ive had the funniest day!!

we got a foot of snow...... in texas!

i haven't see this much snow in my life, in fact ive only seen snow twice in my life, this being one of them.

i made a snow man :)

it was fun, i had to google how to do it cause i didn't know how lol

it was great, but its starting to melt... :(

 

but yeah i had no school today

Sand is the easier one to work with, because it isn't so cold, and you don't need gloves on. However, if it's good packing snow, the snow holds up longer. Basically it's ice, so...

 

I laughed really hard at the having to google it thing Nikki. Make sure you have a snowball fight before everything melts. ;)

 

Anyways, I like Diablo, but it's is so repetative, and you get basically no choice in anything. The storyline wasn't that great, and it was somewhat stereotypical. When it boils down to it, Starcraft is way more fun for me to play over and over again. It's a 1997/1999 classic, hopefully to be a 2010 classic as well.

 

The charachter designs in Diablo were pretty bad tbh, whereas the charachter design for Stacraft was.

 

Of course I've only ever played Diablo 1, which you will probably try to prove a point that Diablo is better than Starcraft. I have looked up pictures of Diablo 2 and 3, and they really don't look too great, but they are way better than the first.
