Mr. Judgment Dragon
Threatening Roar >>> Waboku outside of Gladiator Beasts. Threatening Roar is an amazing chainable card. It is also one of the best stalling cards around. Waboku is a good card but by no means as good as Threatening Roar. The fact it doesnt stop attacks holds it back from being on the same level as Threatening Roar. It is still chainable but shouldnt be used outside of Gladiator Beasts unless Threatening Roar is maxed out first. Gladiator Beasts would love you to use this against them since they have to battle and survive to tag out. Threatening Roar on the other hand stops Gladiator Beasts attacking and tagging out as a result.

Yes, but Threatening is cheap, so for the most part, you should never have to choose the worse card.

RyanAtlus
Example: If your Life Points are open and your opponent has several GB's; Waboku is better than nothing. But still, they will continue to attack for Tagging.

Exiro
I like him. Threatening Rawr likes him too. Waboku doesn't. That's just an example of why Threatening Rawr is better, obviously outside of GBs.

Aximil
I think (s)he is desperately grasping for something to be proven right. I mainly don't like Threatening Roar because everyone around here says goes "I enter my Battle Phase and attack with -----." It sucks. They don't give anybody time to use Threatening Roar. And, judges just say that I'm too slow and that I need to be faster. So, I started using Waboku. If I started playing with people who don't do that, I would gladly use Threatening Roar instead. They can't just enter their battle phase. What someone is doing when they say that is.... I pass priority in my main phase 1 and attempt to proceed to the battle phase. Do you wish to make a response? It's perfectly fine when players don't say this, in the interest of saving time and preventing redundancy, but when they say I attack with ____ They have to accept the fact that you can still activate Threatening Roar, because they're technically not even in their battle phase yet. That's the way it's written in the rulebook! The basics of Priority indeed says you need to pass priority before ending a phase. Threatening Roar CAN be activated when your opponent declares his first attack of that turn.
