I would like to apply as either the Video Games or Movies Mod. Video Games is the more preferrable choice though. I am a Super Moderator on Shanoa's site, Drifting Evanescence, I'm quite experienced with video games, and I have a lot of movies. I have a DS, PSP, PS3, Wii, maybe 30 or so video games, and I think over 300 movies. I'm also very active on this site, and with the inclusion of the Multimedia Section, I would like to be very active in that section. I promise that I will do my best to enforce the rules if I am made Mod. I'm online at least 5 hours or more a day. My school also has a computer lab, so I would be able to access this site when the lab is open. If made Mod, I promise not to abuse my power, and I will look to the other Mods for advice if need be.

As much as I would like to talk about how good I am with the given categories, I can't. I know that when you look for a Moderator, your not really looking for someone who is knowledgable or experienced with the said forums, although it doesn't hurt to be. Really, I know your looking for someone who can take care of the forum both in front of and behind the scenes. Basically, I would just do things casually. I intend to run this section as best I can, and by the book. I prefer working more behind the scenes, locking threads without involving myself in the said thread that is breaking the rules. I don't intend to use this position to better myself, if anything i'm just a member with a job now. I'm sure I can also do my best to keep these sections as active as possible, contributing to this section as much as I can by keeping up with as many threads as I can, and holding events that will make more members want to visit. I'll be a member first, and a Moderator second.

But seriously. I know the rules of these forums. I've never been banned from the site, should my memory serve me correct. I may not be a long time member, but i'm honest, I have character, and an all around friendly guy. People I know in real life call me an idol. I'm very forgiving, but I always stay in line and follow the rules. This is why I deserve to be the Video Games moderator. I'm very active. In fact, I'm on almost everyday. I'm always there for assistance to members and other moderators, and I'll ask veteren moderators and super moderators for help and advice, should I need it. I have about 50 GameCube games, some 100 Game Boy Color & GBA games, 20 DS Games, 20 Wii Games, 7 XBox Games, 8 SNES games, and 2 PS3 games. Even more reason to mod a Video Game section. (11 consoles and over 200 games.) Also, I'm always on the cutting edge of gaming news. Updates, new releases, and games coming soon.

I'm not exactly hateful toward people, and I fairly know what I'm talking about when it comes to Video Games. I currently own 60+ games, for 7 different consoles. I wouldn't abuse my powers. I am DarkForce. I have been Samm328 and Felgrand The Domiantor before. I do not believe I am qualified to be a mod because I am not that popular. I don't have alot of good things going on here. I am still putting in an application because the way i see it is if you make me a mod then others will see that if you try hard enough even the lowliest of them might have a chance. I would like to mod the entire Multimedia section, but the Movie section really stands out to me. So for single modding it would have to be movie section.The odds of you chosing me are... 583% chance out of 6700%, but even so I would like to become the mod because I have always been a considerate member even if I don't like someone. I help others with sigs, cards fan-fics, clubs. I have joined over 10 clubs since I havee been here and I have created 5 extra clubs. I have had 4 Fan-Fics, I helped -DJ- with his sigs (for all of you out there all I did was make a list of who wanted a sig and I gave it to him) and I have made well over 62 cards on the site. Thank you for listening to my reasons, etc. etc.

I would like the be the Moderator for the Music Sub-Category of the Multimedia section.

 

I am qualified because I have been running the Music Spot Club, YCM's premier music discussion club, since its inception several months ago. I have also already created the Best Bands thread in the music section already.

I follow all rules and will enforce them fully as moderator, and am on the site very often. (average 7 hours or more on weekends, 3 or more on weekdays)

I also accept all kinds of music, I do not judge or flame or insult others' music. I listen to alot of music and so I am knowledgable about it. I also play 3 instruments (guitar, drums, and piano) and so am knowledgable about the workings of music. I know that there are many other quilified candidates, but I hope that you will choose me as the moderator for the Music Section of YCM.

I want to moderate any part of the multimedia section.

 

I have experience in not just moderating, but also being an admin of a forum I made a few months back. The only members that joined are not from YCM, but from all around the world.

 

I always follow the rules, never once got banned for any reason, never flamed, never argued, and earned a lot of respect in the past several months. Being a mod in my opinion is about friendship and making new alliances. I really hope that a mod that you have selected is like that. Also, I have experience in organizing activities for a large amount of members as seen in one of the most successful clubs in YCM: Club Pikachu. I have the knowledge of leadership to moderate one of the newer sections.

 

I personally think that moderating any section is not about liking it, but to actually do a 'good job' in it. For example, there is only, what, 1 General Mod? Raven is still doing a 'good job' even by herself. That, is the talent I possess.

 

If you haven't noticed, I'm one of the active members in YCM that are from Asia ( aka. GMT +8 ). I have heard that you could use a mod that could be active while most members are asleep. That could also be used as an advantage to keep spammers away during your evening.

 

So let me just summarize it here: Give me a chance, I will try my best in every way.

I wish to moderate at least one of the sections in the Multimedia category. As I have a been a well respected member and have been online since June 2007, i know this site practically with my eyes closed. At the age of 17, I'm also well mature. And since I'm from Australia, i am usually online during the time when other mods are not (12am - 6am EST). Also, i have had previous mod experience, as being a Super Moderator at Summar Crossroads. I wish to become a mod of this section, not for the recognition, but i wish to help make YCM an awesome and better place. I also consider myself a Multimedia nerd, i love games, movies and music. And i believe its what I'm best at discussing

First thing I would like to point out is that popularity does not make you a mod. If somebody gets to be a mod because they're popular, YCM is going to be on my list of super pathetic failures.

Experience: During the past two years I have been admin on several sites. Some small and dead, one I am still admin at, though. It is still doing good, and we're slowly growing.

 

Anything else: I try to use good grammar mos of the time, I also have a strict policy against spammers and overall idiots. I can moderate any part you feel like, but I prefer Games or Music.

Ok so I guess you know that Faint and I were the people who fought really hard to have this and I was the one who pm'ed you about the thread, supporters and a lot of information so you know how much I'm interested in this section =P We'll why I deserve this, first is that although I may not be your drop dead Music fan like Death Metal and Willeh I have some good experience and besides that I'm always up to date with Movies and Games seeing I joined this forum because someone on a huge Video Games site told me about this place. Also when it comes to Movie's and Games I have a lot of resources (I mean in reviews and previews and such).

 

Also I would really like to take the time to mention that I'm one of the most active members and the site and also one of the most contributing members. I will not add ask this or ask that person because you won't and It doesn't matter but you have the pm's I sent you as a proof. Also I have been here for over a year and I really know the forums more then a lot though my information about the post march 07 is extremely vague but that is of no importance to you as well =/ oh also I would like to mention that my reputation among most of the members is extremely high.

I noticed those three sections and was very pleased that you have finally done something, like most members. But today, I wish to no longer be a member, but a moderator. I will post a very detailed post here explaining why I would like to be moderator.

 

First off, I will be not like any other moderator that has been a moderator, I will actually help this forum and clean up the 'Music' section which is what I would like to moderate. I will stay as active as I can and as long as I can on this forum if you do chose me. I will not only use my powers in a correct way, but I will also explain to members why they have been warned/banned if they have any questions. I will respond to any questions that they give me, and answer them in a full detailed explanation. If they still have questions I will try to answer those questions as well as I can. If the member is mad for some reason, I will explain to them that they have broken the rules and that it would eventually end and that is is just the internet, nothing to get mad about.

 

Secondly, I will not just be like "Oh yeah, you broke the rules. 90% warn" I won't abuse my powers, and I'll try to help all members out. If I do abuse my powers, you have every right to remove me as moderator.

I have been on this forum since April, and yes, I have been banned numerous times, but from all those bans, I have learned every rule there is. I will also follow all other moderators rules when posting in their sections, and I will be a great role model for all other members and new members.

 

Third, I will be on as often as I can. I will try to get on every chance I get. Late at night to early in the morning. I will always be online. If I am not online for over 3 days, then it is due to family issues or life problems.

I will not be just a moderator, I will be a superb moderator.

 

I will sticky threads that need to be stickied. I will unstick all threads that don't need to be stickied. I will lock all inappropriate/spam topics that I see. I will make sure that the Music section will be clean and members can use it easily without seeing any spam or inappropriate threads. All members that break the rules will be punished. They will receive a 20% warn for spamming, a 50% warn for intentional spamming, a 10% warn for mild flaming, a 20% warn for flaming, and a 50% warn for massive flaming.

 

If you chose me as moderator of the Music section, you will be very pleased with the section, but I do certainly understand if you think I am not right for the Music section.

Reason(s) about why I deserve to join the Moderators' Team in this site

I really want to be moderator which is why I take my time to write and make this perfect, but okay, it does not matter. I may not know much about Music and Movies, but I know many things about games since I play games using my PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and 2 of my siblings' Nintendo Dual Screens every day. I always keep track about gaming world's progress by reading magazines, visiting few reliable gaming websites, and watching television's programs. Also, my time is GMT +7, a perfect time if you choose an American or an European as the other moderators since I will be guarding the section when the other moderators are possibly taking rest, and they will do the job when I am taking rest, so the section will never be off guard.

 

Consider me as one of the applicants. True, there are many better members that deserve this place more than I do, but trust me, Mr. YCMaker, I will not let you down if you select me as one of the moderators of the "Multimedia" Section. If I get the position as the moderator, I swear I will not treat anyone as favorites, I will not spam, I will not take any bribes, I will not use my powers as a Moderator for self importance like sticking my own threads that have no good influence to the section, I will help new members as long as I can, and I will not abuse my powers. I am 14 years old, will be 15 on July 8th, 2009. I am an Indonesian, and I am a 9th grader. My friends consider me as a smart boy, but I do not like it since it only gives me burdens. I joined this site on March 19th, 2008, but started to active in this forum on October 3rd, 2008. 1-My knowledge of music in all genre (except rap) is close to the top. (iron maiden mostly cuz I've been listening to them for 14 years.)

2-I play Guitar. I own 4 guitars. All Ibanez. I've been playing for 14 years (because of Maiden)

3-I can control and maintain groups, (assistance from other mods would help) but still.

well i don't know if i will get this or not but i wish to be a mod in the Game section for well several resins.

 

Ok first my English is not that good so i do apologize for any errors in my application.

 

For the resin i want to be a mod is well i wanted to be a mod in the Rp section but Umbra is doing a fine job as it is, and well in till he resigns or becomes a Super Mod well i wish to show you how good of a mod I can be. But why the new Game section is well i am really and i mean really deep in to video games i have at least played not fully explored but non the less played from begging to end of all the 08 releases for the 360. so i think i know my way around a game. Resiliently i have been getting in to retro games for the PC and no i do not 'Pirate' them i buy them off of gamestore sites. But that is not important i am known around the Forum somewhat but in the RP i am well known. i spend most of my time online so there will be no shortage of me being offline. i am friendly to anyone even the resent New members that seems to be getting allot or resent lately i have never gotten a neg for any resin except for one witch i still don't know why nor gave a good anufe resin for it. and this is the resin why i want to be a mod for the game section i hope that you think i am good anufe for it, because i am up for.
