I'm the best candidate for being the one of the most unlikely members to take up the roll as a mod. I like your additions to the forum, and I will be quite active there, as I have stated before. I know spam, porn, and such and know what needs to be locked or not. I know the mod tools quite well, locking, moving, spliting/merging, ect. I won't 'troll' people. I'm an active member, I guess, so that is important, although I have a life outide of here (now way! :o). No, I do not expect you to make me a mod of any or all of the Multimedia forums, but it's worth a shot, eh?

Okay, I can't just sit back and do nothing because this is just ridiculous.

 

Sorry if it looks like I'm mini-modding, but this is for a good cause.

 

First off, Tea, you will not become a moderator just for stating you'd be a good one. That's common sense.

 

Second off, this is a mod application thread, so I am pretty sure the mods would hate it if this thread was used for discussion and argueing.

 

Third off, you messed up the first time you were a mod so why should we think you have learned your lesson when you still can't learn a new thing even to this day.

 

That is all. My apologies if it was out of my hands to say, but as long as someone says it, it should be fine. Since it should be done for as soon as possible. So, we can hopefully go back to using this thread for the reason it was built.

I wish to mod the section as I have countless Moderator experience and I wish to help the forum improve. I own every console to date' date=' apart from the Dreamcast, and I am an expert in Gaming (hence why I made SAW Entertainment). I'm also a huge Anime and TV fan, as well as keeping up to date with all music, though mostly around the Rock/Metal area. I won't bore you with an essay but I can assure you that I only want to help YCM and I have had experience in the following areas:

Design and Support Staff of Web-Boosters

Moderator of Drifting Evanescene

Seeing how this is a MODERATOR APPLICATION, I consider you need to cut the spam. Even if you didn't apply, other than the peacemakers, don't try making this like you are or ever think you can get chosen for a moderator for any section. If this is spam, please I hope a moderator deletes this post. I am trying to get a point across that spamming isn't the answer.

 

To Tea, I am sorry you got the boot out of the moderation and all, but taking it out on everyone can not possibly benefit you, but it prevents you from every retrieving that moderation duty and I believe this is sorta mean but doing that makes you look like a ban-worthy character rather than moderation-worthy character. Tea, if you want the moderator title, don't spam. This is just for your own benefition and all you are doing is hurting yourself. Please Tea, try being a good character or else, banning is what the moderators will do. Counting you have been banned before, you might recieve permanent banning instead.

 

To Moderation, if I am mini-modding, forgive me. This was to try to relieve you of having so much work. Please, trust me because I want to be a moderator, but I know this is not helping much, but I think it was neccasary.

Tv....i don't think my tv is ever off....mainly because i always watch music channels like fuse 24/7

 

I've been a member since august of '07....not extremely long but long enough that i know all of the rules and understand them to a max extent. I've always enforced the rules including some that a few mods have seemed to forget.

 

And i don't even think I've ever been on the side of someone trying to take down the site.

I think I'd make a good mod for the new Multimedia section.

 

I wish to become a mod because I want to help keep the forum clean of spam and wish to help people, even if that section I would moderate is small as of right now.

 

I think I will make a good mod because I've been where for a while and know the ropes. I'm on a lot so I'll be able keep the section I would moderate clean and relatively spam free. I also think it is important for a mod to be able to have fun with their job, but to remember their responsibilities that the job holds, and I think I will be able to do this.

 

I would like to moderate the whole of the new Multimedia section, but if I can not I would like to moderate the video game subsection since I think this is where I would be able to be most helpful.

I would like to become modarator because multimedia is me, im a videogaming freak and love music and TV. i would mainly want to become the mod because i has simple easy to go by rules that will add in with the fourms main rules, i shall also have a thread in TV & Movies were we can talk about newly realised movies and new TV series, that way we could keep the multimedia section clean, we shall also do the same with Videogaming and Music.

 

I have also been a Modarator 4 times on diffrent fourms and Andministrator twice, so i have valueble experiance.

Edit; I would like to apply for a mod position, preferably the Video Game section. I go on YCM around 6 - 8 hours everyday and regularly check there. I would want to be a mod, I am responsible and digilent. I have mod experience, particularly super mod experience. I have extensive knowledge with all genre of Video games. Well, if I became a "Multimedia Moderator", I would immediately enforce a brand-new and more detailed set of rules to help members keep themselves well-behaved. These rules will also re-establish the facts that management/administration has the final say, and that members will need to maintain the proper etiquette when there are heated discussions or differences in opinions.

 

Then, I would work towards a system that increases the limit of handing out reputation points as you progress through post-counting levels. For example: One-starred members will have a limit of handing out one reputation point a day, two-starred members will have a limit of handing out two reputation points a day, etc. As a result of this system, competitions held on this site can range from "beginning-members" contests, to "experienced-members" contests. Also, newly registered members may not have proper guidance, which then leads to them having little or no knowledge about the reputation point system. This system will limit abuse, and will eliminate the procedures of "double accounting for more reputation points".

 

Yeah, your post doesn't have to be exactly like mine; just make it neat and understandable so that people can support you and your awesome ideas.

My first action as a moderator would be to sticky several threads, so the forum would not be clogged with the same "Upcoming Movies" threads. If a reviewer should excess talent, I would sticky his topic for a period of time. If a movie is causing a nicely sized buzz in the forum, I would sticky it temporarily. Sort of like a "Featured Movies" deal.

 

And congratulations, Flame Dragon. Your knowledge of Video Games will serve the forum well.

I find myself to be the most worthy person of moderating the musical entertainment forum (just the music forum). Primarily for the simple fact that I'm probably the most musically involved of anyone on the forum. And if I'm not' date=' I'm definitely one of the most. I was a member of a band for 3 years and went on tour once last year ( 2008 ). Besides my musical experience I'm also familiar with modding. Even though I probably won't receive the moderating position (when considering my previous bans...), I still would find myself to be the best choice for the Music section moderator (even though I won't get it).

As you can see, I made an Upcoming Movies Thread. Regardless of who becomes Mod, I believe that this thread deserves a sticky. Every month I intend to make a similar thread. This will clean up the forum a bit, and I'm sure that as the movies are released, the threads will become more geared to that. Once the month wears out, the thread should be unstickied, but not locked so that people can still discuss the movies.

 

If made Mod, I shall do my best to keep all threads on-topic. There is the "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" thread for example. Granted, I was partially a part of that going off topic, but I promise that I will not make such a mistake again, and I will not let anyone get more off topic than that. .Aero.Alex. has a very good idea about "Featured Movies" Stickies, so I would like to expand upon that. Every week on Sunday, or whenever I can get online, I will sticky any thread that has attracted enough attention. The movie will not be unstickied once the week wears out. Instead, it shall remain stickied while I sticky another thread. At the end of the month, I shall declare the Movie of the Month. This might continue to Movie of the Year, but that would lead to far too many stickies.

 

Naturally, I will establish a rules thread.

I would like to moderate the Video Games section as I know a lot about the section. I am familiar with the Mod CP and all the Mod tools as I am the Administrator of my own forum. I will not play around and abuse the power I have. I will not tolerate foul language or anything as such. I will always be fair and explain to people why I banned them or raised their warning level. I will be responsible and trustworthy and I will not take up the job just to say "Hey, look I'm a mod!" to my friends. In conclusion I hope you will consider me for the job, even if I have just become a 5-star member.
