Brushfire
Talking with Star recently, we both agreed that Fan-Fiction and Role-Play Moderator Umbra's Fan-Fictions are extremely underappreciated. Now, you can lock this but not without valid and logical reasoning. If you just lock it without providing any reasoning or your reasoning is failed, then I'll simply create another topic. [spoiler=Convo] Star: yepsecond only toWyhe's Faint Brushfire:<__< Star:with 700 Faint Brushfire:Compared to you, Wyhe = FAIL Star:something Faint Brushfire says:Umbra > WyheBut who gets more comments? Star:well let's seefirst of allabout the Umbra thinghe's WAY underappreciated Faint Brushfire:Indeed. Star:Umbra is much better than people give him credit for. Faint Brushfire:I'm aware. Star:However, I learned from Umbra, and I do consider myself one of the top YCM Fan-Fic writers. Faint Brushfire:Well, I read part of your Yu-Gi-Oh one ONLY by Umbra's request (I hate YGO FFs >>) and I must agree with you. Discuss.
Guest KAJN
Again with these threads. On Topic:: You see, people may hate Umbra because his Fan-Fictions are good or as you say, extremely good [i've never set foot in that section =/]. Or they may not hate him... Can we do anything about it? But seriously, don't you guys have enough of these threads all over the place?
Brushfire
Elaborate "these threads". Or, using your failed reasoning, they hate anything that's too long and detailed because the site is full of ignorant 10 year-olds who find other Fan-Fics easier on their uncapable brains. Oh, thank you for killing out your whole argument with "I've never set foot in it" meaning you know nothing of the subject. Get out, please. Again, elaborate "these threads" along with "you guys". OMGAKITTY
You pretty much explained why. This site is full of small children that don't have the attention span or the vocabulary to read good writing. It's why Harry Potter does so well. Brushfire
And you my friend just failed. If Harry Potter's diologue is made for that of little children, then I'm going to be an expert of the laws of grammar. You're right, but don't bring Harry Potter, my favourite book series into this. xD
OMGAKITTY
I'm not talking content, but writing style. She writes rather simplistically. And I'm pretty sure her original target audience was from the ages of 10-15.
Brushfire
Okay, it's true that she does. I guess I've read way too many good Harry Potter fan-fics over at FanFiction.net that I've forgotten how JK writes. Her original target audience was 10-15, but after Book 1 she changed to write for any age.
OMGAKITTY
lol, a little off topic, but the last time I tried reading a HP fanfic over there, all I could find was slash. XD

"These Threads" :: It's nearly the same as Draco threads. "Bring Draco back" etc, etc, etc. I only read Stars Fan-Fics when he asks me to =/. See what I mean? This site is not for long threads, it's not for discussions because the site is full of 12 years & under members. People at this age do not read or discuss. They only want to have fun laugh then make it a daily routine. Phantom Roxas
Legacy of the Tormentor was great, but not many people commented on it. Umbra has said that you get more attention for worse grammar. That's why Umbra and my fanfics don't get much comments and Wyhe's is super popular. Azuh
As one of my fan-fics has the most views in the whole of that page, i should be in here discussing this... Umbra is definitely unappreciated, his work is marvelous. And i agree with the statement that people with bad grammar (including myself in some ways) always get top priority
Lazer Yoshi
^ Well, Whye doesn't have the WORST Grammar on here. And it's not too bad either.Anyways, I think Umbra is unnapreciated, maybe because the only thing he has done is Writing Awesome Fan Fictions? Because most people on here like to visit Custom Cards and General. Roleplay is quite popular, but most of them like the Nooby Roleplays.Umbra IS unnapreciated. Brushfire
I'm aware. However the nooby ones are the most spammy-ish and remain at the top of the page while the decent ones die down. Umbra needs to tame the section.
Bloodrun
Ok?So someone's fan fic doesnt get comment on. Big whoop, just because he's a mod doesn't mean it should be any specialer. =/
Guest Star
My Fan-Fic doesn't get any comments, and you don't see me complaining. I mean, I just want people to comment, but I only have like 405 replies and almost 5,000 views. Ok, I was just joking. Umbra is definitely unappreciated. Umbra is the reason that I am one of YCM's Top Fan-Fiction writers now. When I first started, I was horrible at writing. However, now I have one of YCM's most popular Fan-Fics, second only to Wyhe's, at least on the first page, anyway. Umbra is an amazing writer and an all-around awesome person, and I'm glad there's a member like him on YCM. Even though he is underappreciated, he still sticks around and does what he does best. That's why we love him. (No homo.)

Pikachu
Umbra is one good fan-fic writer. Oh I'm not surprised. A bunch of noobs plus a lot of young kids just don't bother with great stories.
