I don't know looking at a type chart it wouldn't make any sense, so either it's a bad idea, or it can be the first type with no weaknesses or strengths?

 

Oh well, I'm still curious what the starter's final evo will be like, the best example of never judging a Pokemon by their first form is of course Magikarp.

 

I'm still waiting for a pure Steel type, 10 types only do half damage against steel, poison has no effect, 3 types are super effective, 2 types are normal, making a pure steel type the way to go!

Given Salamence's ridiculous overpoweredness, he's currently being tested and soon to be Uber.

 

This is why I need to join Smogon forums so I know this stuff without other people telling me.

 

That's horrible. Latias is banned from OU, and now Salamence is being tested. If Salamence gets banned, you are taking out one of the most potent and versatile Pokemon in the metagame. I can understand Latias, since she didn't really have many set-in-stone counters, but Salamence is beat by a faster Ice Beam or any Ice Shard. Unless you invest a horrible amount into defenses or hold a Yache. But most 'Mence don't hold Yache, since they need LO to secure KOs or Leftovers to soften the blow from SR.

 

I don't use 'Mence at all, but I guess it's one less threat to worry about if it gets banned. So, any news whether Garchomp may be back into Suspect to move down? Because I'd be happier of he stayed in the Ubers realm. <3

Mawile is really bad, which is why it is ignored.

 

Why does species matter. Really, the only time I look at that kind of thing is to help get a nickname.

I hate Sapphire movesets. D: That's why Gyarados isn't on here, his Sapphire moveset doesn't leave me with a lot of options.

Mono-type for in-game? Really? It's a unique idea, but... eh...

 

The only smart part about that team is Swampert being awesomesauce Ground-type.

Sapphire is too easy to beat. I wanna make it a little hard.

 

And they don't give very many options for good Water types. The only decent ones are Swampert, Walrein and Kyogre. Gyarados is meh in Gen 3.

Really. Not only that, what could they add to it's move set to make it any better. All it needed was having a STAB attack that it could use.

Gah. Ended up not going with the mono-type run in Sapphire. Aggron tempted me too much.

 

I currently have Marshtomp, Aron, Kadabra and Electrike. Kadabra's defenses are bullshit, so I might get a Grumpig or something for more bulk. I'm too lazy to go back to Petalburg and get a Ralts. I don't know what I'm going to do for a Flying type though. I was thinking Tropius, since I also need a Grass type. My last slot will probably be Walrein or Glalie.

I don't know is this has been discussed yet but has anyone noticed that, Reshiram vs Zekrom is kinds like Nature vs Technology, look at Reshiram & Zekrom's features, Reshiram looks all natural and mystic, while Zekrom looks more technological and new?

New battle system does look cool, but like most changes it will take time to get use to.

They already did the technology thing with the Porygons and they did nature/mystic with Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza.

They already did the technology thing with the Porygons and they did nature/mystic with Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza.

I know. They have loads of mythical stuff in pokemon, but to have something like nature v technology is something on a different level of depth.

You have a good point, we'll see what happens, think about what makes these Pokemon legendary, Moltres, Zpados & Articuno are legendary, but why, what have they done. Lugia is guardian of the sea & Ho-oh is, i don't know what Ho-oh is but he's legendary, why are Reshiram & Zekrom legendary?

You have a good point, we'll see what happens, think about what makes these Pokemon legendary, Moltres, Zpados & Articuno are legendary, but why, what have they done. Lugia is guardian of the sea & Ho-oh is, i don't know what Ho-oh is but he's legendary, why are Reshiram & Zekrom legendary?

 

The birds are Legendary because they are entities of Ice, Lighting and Fire, respectively. Ho-oh can bring sheet back to life, so of course he's Legendary. And we don't know about Reshiram and Zekrom yet, ofc.
