Aggron isn't that bad.

Aggron is fast after a Rock Polish.

Aggron has Head Smash.

 

Aggron is just a cool pokemon.

 

I'm not saying that Aggron isn't cool' date=' because it has a kick-ass sprite, but it's not really that good.

 

It has a 4x Fighting and Ground weakness, as well as a notable Water weakness.

It only reaches 398 Speed after a Rock Polish (assuming Adamant and 252 Spe), which isn't amazing.

Head Smash has 80% accuracy, which is the same as Stone Edge. And apparently to some dude at Smogon (Jumpluff, I think), Stone Edge is the worst move in the game.

Rotom works really well with Aggron since it take no damage from Fighting and Ground and covers the Water weakness.

 

398 out speeds all max speed base 130 which does mean a lot since unless another pokemon has a speed boost already only Ninjask, Electrode, and Deoxys out speed him normally.

 

80% accuracy does suck, but with a base power of 150 what ever it hits is going to loss a lot.

 

But, yea, I know he isn't the best and certainly has little place in OU, but he isn't bad by any means.

And looking at all the pokemon with rock head Aerodacytal looks like the best 1 followed by Aggron

 

Golem has good defenses while Rhydon has more Raw power

Steelix has good defenses and meh Sp. Def its Atk is not as good as Aggron, aero, golem, and rhydon

Did you guys see the new Pokemon Sunday video? Some idiots at Smogon were complaining about some game mechanics thing. That giraffe has a possible Motor Drive ability, and it seemed that it used some Electric-type attack against Mijumaru. So, when it took recoil damage from the attack, people were complaining that a speed boost did not follow.

 

If recoil damage was typed, how come Arcanine doesn't get a Fire boost when he uses Flare Blitz? *faceplam*

I'm a bit off topic but has anyone noticed the episode coming up where ash meets up will ALL of his old Pokemon? It's called 'The Eve Of The Fierce Fighting! The Big Gathering Of Ash's Pokemon!' I like the sound of it.

 

Does anyone else get the feeling that Hihidaruma is already evolved? That or he won't get an evolution. I think Chiramii is like Patchirisu, he won't get an evo, I want Gear to get an evo. Munna is surly related to Drowzy. Meguroko needs a big-ass alligator/crocodile evo and i'm not really a fan of Shimama, so i'm not bothered whether or not he gets an evo.

With that post and the R/S/E remakes coming up, I was looking at a competitive standpoint and only thinking about Hoenn Pokemon. An Absol evo is like, funking mandatory. Manectric and Cacturne would be badass, and the others just need the support.

All I added was 10 base Def and SpD, 5 base SpA (so Fire Blast can do something), but the main change was adding 20 base Speed. Now, in OU, with a neutral Speed nature, it can outspeed everything from Adamant Lucario and slower. That's a big jump from where it was before, tying with Smeargle and being slower than Heatran.

IMO it doesn't need a defense increase. Just give it more ATK and SpA since as a sweeper that's all it cares about. Also defense stats of 65/70/70 won't be taking many hits any way. Still odds are he'll get a defense boost when he evolves since most pokemon do.

 

Also, I just thought of the best move. A move that always gets critical hits. It's main role is to get pass pokemon that up their defense.
