I haven't leaderboarded in a while. Let's do this.

Rules:

  • All Leaderboard rules apply.
  • First to 3 votes or most votes by the deadline wins.
  • All voters must elaborate on their votes.
  • Both contestants have the right to refuse votes, but must explain why they don't accept it.
  • Written cards are allowed. (Must be in written format, cards with blank pictures are not acceptable)
  • Cards must be PM'd to me.
  • Remove any evidence of the card being made by you to ensure anonymity.
  • In case of downtime or emergencies, the deadlines may be extended.

Rewards:

  • The winner gets a rep from the loser.
  • All voters get a rep for voting.

Deadlines:

  • Contestants have 48 hours to submit their entries after the challenge has been accepted.
  • In case of a challenger failing to meet the above deadline without explanation, the challenger slot will open up again, at which point it becomes first-come-first-serve between the previous challenger's and new submissions.
  • The contest ends a week after both contestants' cards are posted up. (Voting deadline: 23 Mar, 9.30am, +8 GMT)

Requirement:

Create a card that supports Infernoids.

[spoiler Card A]

Void Transmute

[Normal Trap]

If you control no monsters that are not "Infernoid" monsters, apply 1 of these effects:

*Target 1 of your banished "Infernoid" monsters; return that target to the Graveyard, then you can add 1 Level 4 or lower "Infernoid" monster from your Deck to your hand.
*Target 2 of your banished "Infernoid" monsters; return both targets to the Graveyard, then you can add 1 Level 8 or lower "Infernoid" monster from your Deck to your hand.
*Target 3 of your banished "Infernoid" monsters; return all 3 targets to the Graveyard, then you can add 1 "Infernoid" monster from your Deck to your hand.

[spoiler Card B]

Fallen Void
[Quick Play Spell]
(1) Target 1 banished "Infernoid" monster; return it to your Graveyard. (2) To Special Summon an "Infernoid" monster using its own procedure, you can banish this card from your Graveyard, instead of banishing an "Infernoid" monster from the Graveyard (or any combination of both). (3) You can only use 1 effect of "Fallen Void" per turn.

Well, this one's easy.

Card A: WAAAAY too OP. I had initially thought that the card could only be activated when you control no monsters, but after reading it a couple times, I realized that it's a overpowered version of Different Dimension Burial. Returning Infernoids, especially back to the Graveyard, is something that a -1 can afford, hence Different Dimenson Burial. However, this card not only returns, but it can ADD any Infernoids if you simply return 3, and can still be activated as long as you control all Infernoids, which is very easy considering their effects. This is pretty much setting up a field nuke with Devaty and Onuncu.

Nope.

Card B: Fallen Void is pretty much a less powerful version of Burial in terms of returning from the banished, but it still has the capability to set up Seitesmas or Attondel fairly easily. Not too OP and rather useful, and thoughtfully limited to hard OPT. A little slower, but atleast it's not as broken as Card A, and speeds up the Infernoid engine.

Obviously Voting for Card B.
