Rules:

-All Leaderboard rules apply

-First to 3 votes or most votes by deadline wins.

-All voters must elaborate on their votes or else the vote will be rejected.

-Both contestants have the right to refuse votes, but must explain why they don't accept it.

-Card C votes are allowed in case the voter thinks both cards don't deserve a vote but must elaborate on why he/she thinks so.

-Cards must be PM'd to me, preferably written.

-Remove any evidence of the card being made by you to ensure anonymity

-In case a downtime or an emergency happens, the deadlines may be extended.

 

Deadlines:

-The deadline for entries is August 3, 12:00 AM, GMT+2

-The contest ends on August 10, 12:00 AM, GMT+2

-In case of a challenger failing to meet the above deadline without explanation, the challenger slot will open up again, at which point it becomes first-come-first-serve between the previous challenger's and new submissions.

 

Rewards:

-The winner gets a rep from the loser.

-All voters get a rep for voting

 

Requirements:

Eratta a banned card in the TCG Banlist. The eratta'd card becomes Limited.

If this card is Special Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects.

● Add 1 "HERO" monster from your Deck to your hand.

● You can target Spell/Trap Cards on the field (max 2), up to the number of "HERO" monsters you control; destroy them.

You can only activate each effect of "Elemental HERO Stratos" once per turn.

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects.

You can only activate each effect of "Elemental HERO Stratos" once per turn.

OK, and both of you decided to errata Master Stratos...

 

Both of them have a hard OPT, which addresses one of those issues that Stratos has at present; blow up stuff or search, send to Graveyard for stuff, then revive and rinse/repeat because it's a soft "once per turn". Here, you cannot do that.

 

"A" basically lets Stratos pop a minimum of 1 card upon summoning, regardless if you have another HERO out. Yeah, it's limited to two pops, but then it becomes a MST/Twin Twister for HEROs anyway. In the short run, this does more damage (early game), but otherwise original is better later on if you can swarm HEROs and opponent has something to blow up. Oh wait, it also relies on you needing to SS it via something like A Hero Lives, CoTH or whatever forms of SSing they got. I mean, HEROs probably won't be too bothered by the loss of the NS, but yeah it also loses some speed early on (outside of NSing it as a "vanilla").

 

"B" is just original Stratos with a hard OPT attached to it; that's pretty much all you did here. Not that it's a bad thing though, as again, a hard OPT is one of the things that it needed. Given what HEROs can currently do, you'll end up blowing up maybe 2 cards (off of any HERO things you have out like the Masked HEROs and all). given usual setup and all.

So basically, which one is better: limited to SS only but can always pop a S/T card or not OR just the original one with a HOPT? One requires more effort and the other is restrictive on when it can trigger to do so, but has less effort.

 

I'll vote for B since being versatile with its summoning is important for HEROs, especially early on when they need things in hand. Like I mentioned earlier, a hard OPT would've been sufficient enough. While yes, this card can still be triggered via CoTH or something after you have your ED HEROs out, I don't see you having more than maybe 2-3 HEROs out at any given time (taking into consideration their other ED options).

 

A wouldn't have issues being summoned with their current support, but it's not as versatile early on. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate it being a MST/Twin Twisters depending on setup without needing to expend another HERO for the same effort.
