[/quote']

Kinda hard to vote for myself, no?

I demand for you to vote for yourself. Lol.

BMG' date=' when people vote me for Pop Culture, they also mean you. Same thing would also happen from April with Crystla J and Hunter.

[/quote']

And whoever gets 1st place in the 2nd PKEV contest.

Eh. Only very partically though; you've done a lot more then them.

I got an idea to keep the awards from getting stale:

I propose that a person should not be able to receive an award in one category more than twice in a row. It gives other people a chance to win the award instead of feeling that they have no chance. It could go that if a person wins the same award twice in a row' date=' they are ineligible to win the award for the next month. So: Win 2, miss 1, win 2, miss 1, etc... This can keep a category from being too biased and basically be GIVEN to one person every time. I'd rather not see the same people winning the same awards every single month and I'm sure a few others feel the same way.

[/quote']

I see where you're getting at and I know it sucks.

*changes gender*

It's true that some, no wait many people vote for members who won something before without even knowing them. Obviously.

In that regard, the system you're suggesting would work in theory, but I'm not sure how many of the "monthly vote monopolizers" would agree, plus it would penalize the people who really give out honest votes.=/

Well in that case, if some of you are mad at people who always get the same votes then just vote for someone else.

Anyway' date=' regarding what has been discussed here so far, I don't think previous winners should be kept out of the awards. I mean, if one is consistently the best in something, [i']not[/i] voting for them just because they already won before is idiotic and not a sincere opinion in any way. I won't stop voting for those I think are the best members of this community just because they also were last month. -_-

And about friendship votes, deal with it, they won't stop happening. It's something you have to expect when hosting this type of event.

Thy masterness hath spoken.

Wonder why I never get votes. :P

Don't say that.;)

I should win best avatar.

Even though Willieh is the only one who gets it.

Then I get a part of the cake.;)

Why did we get rid of the Best Super Moderator Category?

True, I don't understand why the January categories were taken... February was better organized in terms of categories, although not as good about the layout, but I do think it should be split up into regular mod and super mod again and "Shining Star" should be renamed "Member of the Month".

Anyway... *activates gender change*

I'm not keeping an eye at best female this month. Hope to get friendliest member, most helpful or something like that.^^

I can truthfully say I spend enough time in each section to make all my votes honest...

Minus a few friend votes, which were voted in Categories like "Best Male Member", "Best Friend" and "Shining Star".

And, I try to vote for someone different each month. Check my previous votes for proof on this.

Well the Best Friend category was supposed to be the only one related to friendship. It was added for the sole purpose of keeping the votes less biased, but it probably won't happen.:?

Then I guess the "non-biased votes" thing should be enforced and people should understand that the awards are monthly. So just because someone did well during a month doesn't mean he's going to be awesome for the rest of his life.

I'm going to post mine when I'm done with syllogisms, predicats and stuff, by the way.-_-

Well you're still a vet.

Eh' date=' I guess lol. Being here for over a here makes you a Vet, I presume?

Meh, get on MSN please? I'm bored at work. =[

Oh, and to everyone saying "OMG I GET NO VOTES =[[" , please just stop your whinging and live with it.

Easy for you to say, you get votes >.>

Take a moment and think about other people, imagine veterans staying un-recognised when they've been here so long. Besides, this is (Emphasis on the is) the Awards discussion thread ;)

I got 2 votes for "Best Debator"?

The hell?

I hate when idiots vote for me in a section what I rarely use >.<"

FTW. Just be happy you got voted for -.-

Why the hell would you hate getting voted for, even if it's something you don't think you rock at?!

The Awards aren't really the best proof of being recognized. It's a virtual pat on the back that shows how members appreciate your work or whatever around the site, but if you don't get any votes it doesn't mean you're a bad member. You can't vote for everyone...

Well he was rightfully referring to the fact that some members just vote blindly without looking if a person is even active in a section.

I know what you mean, but some users see him debating a fair argument and don't know any other debators and so they vote for him

I get a few votes, but I never win anything. I'm generally un-recognised when it comes to the Awards.
