Doomkaiser's Synchro couterpart was never really good in the first place, so to me, his /Assault Mode counterpart is no better..

When ppl start to play /Assault Mode decks like me (see Blackwing Assault in Your Deck), the only /Assault Mode monster you should ever use is SDD/AM, until Konami makes a better /AM monster (which is most likely they wont)

i think they should ban crystal beasts mainly because its one of the bests decks

i think they shouldn't've banned spartanricky because he wasnt one of the best decks.

Anyway' date=' this thread being stupid aside, I'd actually pick Doomkaiser, considering that he gets you an OTK.

I think Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode is the best

Especially considering the current state of the ban list and the fact Stardust Assault's Synchro counterpart is more splashable than Doomkaiser's Synchro counterpart.

Plague's easy to dump with sheet like Arma and Foolish, easy to search out with Pyramids and Goblins, he's easy to revive with all of the Zombie support going 'round, then there's BftDD so it's really no that big a problem to get out. Splashability of Stardust vs. Doomkaiser really doesn't matter here, as Assault Mode Activate is completely un-splashable and can only be used in its own Deck, which you might as well make Doomkaiser/Assault OTK, considering that it's much easier to instantly win with than with Star/Assault. Just add Zombie World.

I just have to see what Crab will say about this.

Colossal Fighter is definitely the worst.

Also, /Assault Mode monsters have been discussed many times before, so lolAndrewTopic.

In my opinion' date=' I think Stardust Dragon/Assault mode is the best.

But Hyper Psychic Blaster/Assault Mode is arguably a good choice as the best aswell.

That's like saying that Tele-DAD was probably the best deck of the September 2008 format, but that Crystal Board is arguably a good choice as the best as well.

I disagree. In my opinion, Stardust is obviously the best, but Colossal Fighter is the second best. The fact that Colossal Fighter (non AM) has a revival effect practically ensures that you're never going to lose a monster.

Plus, it's incredibly hard to destroy in the proper Deck because it has 2800 ATK as it is, not to mention all of the opponent's monsters out would lose ATK.

Lolwut? Colossal's /Buster form is garbage; you may as well just equip your Colossal Fighter with an Axe of Despair.

Deathkaiser/Buster is the second-best, essentially being a walking OTK; its one weakness is the unnecessary list attention received by Zombies recently.

Imagine if Konami makes a Goyo/AM... that would be totally broke.

You seem to be the only person who hasn't noticed that quality of Synchro and quality of Slash-Buster are not directly proportional. Sure, Stardust is a bloody good Synchro and the strongest Slash-Buster, but it ends there; Deathkaiser Dragon is inferior to Colossal Fighter any day, but his Slash-Buster is much, much better.
