Here, we need to establish what is Decktype1 > Decktype2.

If a deck can win another deck by over 50% of the time, then it's much better argument that the former deck is better.

Also, the gimmick and card effects a certain deck should be considered as well. LS has a milling gimmick, vechiroids has fusion? LS has a field nuke, vechiroids don't. These are some reasons why LS > Vechiroids.

I can truly understand the statement Curium wrote. Vehicroids do have an underchance against Lightsworns, in all predicaments. It is pretty well tamed that LS vs. Vehicroids is a dead argument. I don't think I would waste my time on it anymore. You win Aximil. Sorry for the argument. My only thing that I am trying to say, is as long as you can get the right cards, and build the right deck, you can beat another Archetype, even with a weaker one.

Eh, not necessarily. A deck that mains 3 Kinetic Soldier and 3 Warrior Elimination might do well against 6-Sams, but would still be a pretty terrible deck in general. Yu-Gi-Oh has that sort of rock-paper-scissors element, and it doesn't even need to be as obnoxious as maining Kinetic Soldier; for example, Macro decks have an inherent advantage over Zombies and Dark Worlds.

 

What matters is not whether Deck A can beat Deck B 50% of the time but rather whether Deck A's success rate against a variety of other strong decks exceeds that of Deck B.

Look at the irony here. You are a noob now stop living in your little fantasy world thinking you are the best and accept the reality that you are no better than the rest of the noobs on this forum.

 

Lightsworns are a well supported Tier 1 Deck. They have one of the best Boss Monsters that is legal, their own Breaker, their own Monarch, their own Night Assailant, their own beatstick, well 3 of them, their own Destiny Draw, their own Reinforcement of the Army and access to Honest which is an improved Shrink for LIGHT monsters. That is enough to make them as good as they are. Add to that fact their ability to utilize Plaguespreader Zombie effectively whoch gives them Synchro capabilities. Psychics as a whole are not as well supported as Lightsworns. Their best Synchros themselves (Thought Ruler Archfiend and Magical Android) merely play supporting roles in Extra Decks. Psychic Lifetrancer is outclassed by Dark Strike Fighter for the spot of a Level 7 Synchro in an Extra Deck in every way. Then there's Hyper Psychic Blaster. It is terrible, and its Assault Mode is terrible.

WHAT! no advantages with psychics. your insane... i mean more insane than the rest of us. i can name 10 ups for both:

 

psychics: powerful effects, big LP increases, synchro feature, chance for free effects, protects fellow psychics, faster synchro, negate effects for small price, recycle, occasionally high ATK, and finally it does not milk your deck dry.

 

LS: high ATK, swarm, nuke, and any others

 

anyway every deck theme has super awsome strategies.
