It has the highest stats of all Level 4 monsters that normal summon, no bad sides and it awfully easy to fulfill the 3 spell activation thing. And because enemy spells also count, you can have Dark Magician on the field in only 2 turns! And White Talented Magician is even worse. One of the spells that could be activated against this card is a Fissure. Boom, it's gone. Not overpowered. If it was a constantly summonable Tuner that could special Summon any monster from the deck, needed only 1 card effect tp be activated, was 2500 ATK, couldn't be destroyed by battle or removed from the field by a card effect controlled by the opponent, destroyed 1 monster on the field each turn and counted as 3 DARKS or 4 Different Lightsworns while in the Graveyard, they would be overpowered. b0b3rt Posted September 15, 2009 Report Share Posted September 15, 2009 Skilled Dark is just about usable in a dedicated DM build, but that's about it.Even then there are better options for getting DM out, along with better Dark Spellcasters like Breaker and Kycoo. You can remove 3 Spell Counters from anywhere on the field to Special Summon 1 "Dark Magician" ("Buster Blader") from your Hand, Deck, or Graveyard in Attack Position. If a "Dark Magician" ("Buster Blader") would be destroyed, you can remove 2 Spell Counters from anywhere on the field instead. There we go.
