The people that become paranoid and distrustful of authority like that often needlessly end up the victim and/or villain.

 

You want an example? Mayella Ewell from To Kill a Mockingbird.

 

She was the daughter of what is essentially the worst piece of white trash ever.

 

Due to their background, and how the police etc had arrested her father before, she distrusted them. Then, she was forced to claim she had been raped by an innocent black man. Later on, the trial is held. When she is asked to testify, she seems to struggle for a minute. Then she adamantly yells at the attorney that he raped her, and that none of his fancy words will trick her.

 

She goes back to her life of rape and abuse victim, and the black man later dies.

 

She could've turned the whole thing around, it was the moment of truth. And she blew it, all because she let her paranoia spread to cover all authority, instead of just those who had wronged her.

 

 

Do you want to be her?

 

Then keep up your hatred of all mods, and don't judge them as individuals. Why be reasonably cautious when you can be the paragon of hatred?

And HERE is the reason (via MSN convo) as to why I have such an anti-mod personality. and why I was greatly angered by your constant plans to permban:

and this just kept contining all the way throughout the forum against every member he could find

that is, until he came across me

the mods tried to warn him, but he simply used his mod powers and removed the warns

they tried revoking my bans, but he put them back on

they tried IP banning him, but he bounced his signal off another guy's router and came back

they removed his position and permbanned him, but he simply hacked into the admin's account and promoted himself back

sorry that forum got deleted like a year ago

one mod wanted to cut their mods workload down

so he simply made the rule that threads are now no longer open to discussion

and yet he still expected the forum to be as active as ever

the mod feedback threads you were only allowed to say GOOD things about the mods

the reason? If you said bad things, you'll violate the rule: the mods are NEVER wrong

and that = permban

for example, he gave me a 90% warn because I bumped a thread that was 5 min old. He said I was necrobumping

*Taps index finger on desk slowly* I can understand this, power, what a wonderful medium. Even a little bit and humans go ballistic, so very very sad. That mod must've been and seems to be a total tool. Doing so much just to remain in power, pathetic. I have often heard about things such as this, but this really does take the cake. Thank you for sharing such an interesting story, though, I do wonder how this mod would've acted, had he met me.
