Well, I think they did justice to remake IV, I liked IV, except those obnoxious enemies who can essentially one shot kill your team.

Not really, they're just enemies who can cast ridiculously powerful all area team hits, which is ominous when they do it so often when in pairs, but rarely alone, it's like thye're competing or something.

I would hate that, it just makes a hard game even more difficult.

Well if a game isn't hard then it doesn't challenge you.

If you aren't challenged you don't get that good feeling when you beat the game.

I generally fled whenever they appear, I didn't understand why such hard enemies were even there.

To make it clear, I believe they established that while they lack hearts, they have memories of how the hear once worked. It's weird, but that's how Squeenix works.
