Ninjazombie 117
This doesn't even have the 'can't be targeted' clause. Any generic destruction says hi. Doesn't a Hardened-Arm Dragon Take care of that?
CrabHelmet
This doesn't even have the 'can't be targeted' clause. Any generic destruction says hi. Doesn't a Hardened-Arm Dragon Take care of that? That doesn't deal with non-destructive removal, which is now commonplace thanks to Stardust. It also doesn't deal with, say, Threatening Roar plus any method of dealing damage.
Ninjazombie 117
Well, we can at least loof forward to better art.And there's always imperial Iron wall to help him out from being removed. so, Hardened Arm for a tribute, add Imperial Iron Wall, then some other card that protects spell and trap cards. That would work right? And Hardened Arm would protect him from things that destroy first, like Bottomless Trap Hole, it destroys first, so Hardened Arm would protect it, then, if im correct, tthe remove from play effect kicks in, and Imperial Iron Wall would protect it. Ninjazombie 117
reminds me of Horus the black flame Dragon lv8 Yeh, your right, wonder what Slifer (Osiris for all you Japanese junkies >:() looks like?
Mysty
It's really too bad Ra doesn't get the combined strength of the 3 Tributed monsters anymore. Its destruction effect is cool, but the main thing I see in this card is its Channel+Fireball/Point-to-Point Transfer effect. If the opponent's field is cleared and you have at least 100 Life Points more than your opponent when you summon this, you pretty much win. Then again, nuking the field and then summoning this would be quite tough. You would have to basically Synchro Summon BRD without Normal Summoning, nuke, summon PSZ from Graveyard and then use 2 Quillbolt Hedgehog/Mezukis to get 2 more monsters in play, tribute to summon this, win. Zombie Ra deck FTW? *shot*
Toffee.
Guys, RA's artwork tells you that the Phoenix Mode is pre-assembled.Thats why it has that effect.
Ninjazombie 117
yeah, but to prevent the remove effect Imperial Iron Wall would work, you just need a card to prevent trap destruction, I don't know one, anybody?
Great Unclean One: VK
*sees the real card then bangs head against wall* funk! Well, at least this guy is kinda good for FL and my collection. [spoiler= Lore]This card cannot be Special Summoned. You must Tribute 3 monsters to Normal Summon this card (you cannot Set this card). The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Normal Summoned, Spells, Traps and other Effect Monsters' effects cannot be activated. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can pay Life Points until you have 100 left to have this card gain ATK and DEF equal to the amount paid. You can pay 1000 Life Points to destroy 1 target monster your opponent controls.
metalflygon08
Could be better if you could destroy any card, not just monsters.
VolTama
*sigh* Yet another example of Konami's "epic art = terrible effect" policy. Shame...

metalflygon08
I never said it was, just it would be more epic if it's pay 1000LP destruction could target 'cards' over just 'monsters'.
Sleepy
Compared to the standard we were all hoping for, it actually is a big disapointment :( , we are talking about Ra, the God card that is supposed to be the strongest of all 3. I see Obelisk being run more. It can be dropped to the field more casually than Ra.This card is going to (as said before), probably become the boss monster specifically for Life Point Decks. Maybe splashing a Hardened Armed Dragon to protect it at least from Destruction, which is the immediate thing that would damage him during the one turn you will need him on the field to attack after paying your 20,000+ Life Points earned by an infinite LP loop combo. Its good, but restricted to a certain type of Deck as I don't see anyone Tributing 3 monsters to pay 1000+ Life just to destroy a couple of monsters OR having enough LP to make this card good enought in just any Deck. As a "God Card" it should at least be more splashable than what it is now. I'm still going to get one for collection purposes (and its art is better than Obelisk's mainly because it actually shows the full pic).I didn't like how the illustrations of both Gods so far don't look good together at all. I wanted to see the full set some day in my hand :( I'll be hoping for Obelisk's alt art...plz...
Wrathos
Don't bash a card just because you don't have the imagination to see how it can kick ass. This card is god-like as it is.

Not sure who are you directing yourself to, but I'm curious to know how you would use it. Other than the already stated LP Decks.
Psycho Shocker Android
Guys' date=' RA's artwork tells you that the Phoenix Mode is pre-assembled.Thats why it has that effect.[/quote'] It does seems like a phoenix mode Ra. We might get the other 2 with different effect like the "get the combined atk of the tributed monster" and a sphere who can sp. summon the other mode(s?) ignoring the summoning conditions. Ninjazombie 117
The two main problems with this card is getting back life points and to keep him from being destroyed. The later is simple, somebody just needs to TELL ME A CARD THAT PROTECTS TRAPS!!!! And the life points, maybe adding a Thought Ruler, hhmmmm, hhhmmmmmmmmm.......... Sleepy
Thinking about it again, if it remained with that effect but didn't have the "This card cannot be Special Summoned" part, it would be so funny xD I Special Summon Ra from Graveyard with Call of the Haunted, pay all but 100 LP, Attack!!! Then Mystic Yok lol...
