GB's have their own Honest (Hedge Guard))

I've seen to people run this in GB at my Locals today, it works well actually.

 

Hedge Guard

Lv 3

Plant/Effect

During damage calculation, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to prevent a monster you control from being destroyed by this battle, but that monster's ATK is halved until the End Phase.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It just depemds on the skill of your opponent, and their strategy. I main 3 in my GB's.

I played against them today, I lost the first match because it caught me off guard, plus the guy was a good player, the 2nd was close but the guy misplayed in the 3 game and never recovered.

A mediocre card that I ran for a while in GBs. The fact that it only protects from one battle rather than the entire battle phase can be a debilitating flaw.

It isn't that bad, but the fact it only lasts for one battle really kills it. Over all Waboku is the better choice. Still if the deck has some space running 1 or 2 might not hurt.

l'd side these. 99% of the time l only have 1 vulnerable GB (Murmillo), and so this is basically waboku for me in the sense that it protected the monster l needed that turn.

You people do realise that the halved ATK counts for your monster, right? So it's more of kind of Kuriboh then a Honest.

It's best played on a DEF position GB, so the halved ATK doesn't matter

Also if you run Some sort of Synchro Glads it is Food for BRD, Splendid Rose....O_O

Your GBs will be in atk mode most of the time.

 

 

Even if the effect lasted a turn, I'd run Waboku because it also protects you if you don't have any monsters.

I'd rather use Wabuko, it prevents destruction from the WHOLE battle phase and you don't take damage (just to not mention that the monster's ATK isn't halved, which is obvious).

This only gets some use if the monster you prevent from being destroyed is in def position, or you will get SERIOUS damage.

So yeah, useless card in my opinion.

At least they used an underused type for it, the only intelligent thing they made on this card.

Why do you called that a GB's honest? It's useless with GBs like with any other deck/archetype

I would definitely run this if it protected for the whole battle phase. It's chainable to honest/kalut as well, which helps.

Or just use Waboku and let them waste Honest, or kill their LIghtsworn/blackwings.
