Confirmed March 2010 List

OH NOEZ 1 for 1 removal BAN BAN BAN

The fact that it makes every card in your hand either a MST or Smashing Ground/Shield Crush is what makes this very different from the basic 1 for 1. The fact that their is no limit (a side from the obvious hand limit) to the number of times it can be used only makes it worse.

What's so broken about that?

Easy enough to not be seen at all. xD

TBQH I only know about it because of a thread when it first came out. It's basicly This + Quillbolt Hedgehog + Any Tuner + Mass Driver (and other cards like it).

4 card combo' date=' that isn't very searchable[/b']

At best' date=' its a +5. But that also allows said player running jar to have Bad Hand management, and over extend. Royal Tribute can be a +5(or higher), that leaves your opponent handless, where is it on the ban list?[/b']

Are you agreeing with the move then?

Tibute is situational and it is very situational that it will be a +5.

I am not agreeing with the move. I am saying that it can be fine @1. Royal Tribute is also faster, and allows you to check the hand. It also can allow you to swarm w/ Dark Worlds.

I was going to go point by point on everything on this list, but it's late. Instead I'll say this. This list doesn't just kill all existing OTKs - which I can respect - but kills any cards that have the possibility of OTKing (i.e. Limiter Removal, and with glaring exceptions like the Necroface everybody seems to love).

When people said CBs and Morphtronics are meta now, they weren't kidding. They're totally untouched and can OTK circles around crippled Dark decks and the Lightsworn players tearfully maining Gragonith.

Here please read Morphtronic Boarden and ask yourself: "This or Ben Kei?"

Dustshoot's main limitation is that it doesn't work lategame - unless the opponent has been conserving hand advantage. Therefore, Dustshoot is fine because... it punishes good play and swings the game one way or another depending on whether it is drawn opening hand or later? Unless the monsters-only clause is the one that makes Dustshoot acceptable to you, I do not see how Dustshoot's limitations stop it from being bad for the game at all - it's still awful.

It encourages somewhat more active play' date='

[/quote']

That's an interesting rephrasing of "It discourages maintenance of hand advantage".

and the reason for the four-cards clause is so you can't just pop off three copies at once.

Except you can' date=' because it's a Trap, and the four-cards clause is an activation condition rather than a resolution condition. If you have four cards in your hand, I can activate 3 Trap Dustshoot in a single chain and leave you with one card.

It only works on monsters,

And it works fabulously on them.

and it is a trap meaning it's vulnerable.

Being a trap also means it's chainable.

It promotes skill by making people who use it analyze and think ahead on which cards will have the most impact.

So does The Forceful Sentry. In fact, The Forceful Sentry promotes skill even more in that way by giving the user a wider array of choices, making them consider more possibilities.
