Guest PikaPerson01
After you've milled the first 15 though... what do you do? Your opponent's got 20 cards left in their deck (and you already played Allure and so you're actually closer to milling yourself for game). werewolfjedi
Tempest magician Ah' date=' forgot one. Okay, how does one OTK with Tempest Magician?[/quote'] ok, first you need to summon exemplar, then play endymion somehow (preferbly through terraforming.), then play a second exemplar[ 2 spells required.], and then use the second for a level 2 tuner spellcaster [1 spell required. 1 counter on endymion min., 1st exemplar 2 min], (or find another way to play one, like foolish into plague.)fuse into tempest now [+1 spell counter.], since you don't get to keep the counters unless you kill her off and still have someway to synch into tempest.then you build up to 16 counters (you should have 4 when you summon tempest, and you produce 3 for every spell you play.), and activate burn effect for game.toon table of contents set + 1 toon world would win you the game right there. the arcanite way is harder, but much more simple.summon arcanite and tempest onto the field, and then dump your hand for 1000 ATK per card onto arcanite, this may not otk, but it can create 5000+ fairly easy, which is more than enough if you have spare counters to clear the opponent's field. you attack with arcanite and tempest (2100+2400 min, for 4500) then activate tempest burn to finish them. (1500 min, for a total for 6000 with no cards dumped, meaning you only need 1 card dumped to make 8000)

Still' date=' those are the ones I disagree with most.[/quote'] Silly... Gorz: Helps players who were dumb enough to lose all their cards stay in the game. So, basically it helps unskilled players more than skilled ones, which is a negative trend. Ultimate Offering: I've seen few uses here outside of Turbo or OTK decks... and gadgets. It bends the rules of the game and has few to none legit uses. Tragoedia: Same as Gorz, but with the added benefit of having a broken permanent brain control effect... Brain control, I'm sure you notice, is banned. Chaos Sorcerer: He was broken then and he's broken now. Ridiculously easy summon condition, effect that takes out anything and can be tributed or synchroed easily. All three of the chaos triplets deserve the banhammer. Summoner Monk: Toolbox that can search any lvl 4 and use it's effect, and has way to many broken combos to chase all of them to the source. Even him summoning and tuning with mist valley soldier could be considered a broken combo. Mezuki: You don't like this, but have no problem with Vayu? He has a negative influence by producing skilless advantage for absolutely nothing and again helps you if you lose all your monsters, which benefits skilless players. Necroface: This one is sketchy to me as well do to the ease of OTKing with him... I may ban him. Scapegoat: Why would it not be at three? Metamorphosis: Why would it not be at three? ~ P O L A R I S ~
I like this list a lot, I'd like to see a good amount more banned but I know you have reserves about banning the entire card pool. Oh, and I never quite saw the logic in keeping something you might consider broken at one to benefit the game like Mirror, Torrential, Storm, etc. It's really either bad for the game or not. Mirror and Torrential're bad for the game because your opponent shouldn't be punished for generating a fair amount of monsters in a good format, better to just ban everything which swarms to an unreasonable degree. Field presence was a serious consideration in my old list back at the old thread.

There's nothing wrong with swarming, it's only reckless swarming that should be discouraged. Attacking into a face down with five monsters in attack, knowing it could easily be mirror force, is reckless swarming. That's what's being punished, not "generating a fair amount of monsters". I prefer and emphasis on skill promotion rather than the ridiculously trigger-happy bans you threw out in your list.

CrabHelmet
To be quite honest, the Heavy Storm/Mirror Force/Torrential Tribute problems might be most quickly solved by creating new cards, declaring them legal, and banning the originals. I don't like the concept of adding created cards to a format unless we're going for an all-out create-a-card format, but creating balanced replacements seems like the best solution, and it doesn't seem like Konami is going to be doing that on its own, which leaves us with one obvious path - and if we're just inserting a small number of cards to solve these specific problems, it won't be a drastic breech. For example, off the top of my head, here is one way of making a version of Mirror Force that can easily go to 3: Rising Mirror Force[Normal Trap]Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. If the opponent controls 1 or fewer Attack Position monsters, negate the attack. If the opponent controls exactly 2 Attack Position monsters, destroy the attacking monster and end the Battle Phase. If the opponent controls 3 or more Attack Position monsters, destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls and end the Battle Phase. It's strong enough that given other appropriate list changes it should still be playable; it's not unilaterally better than the majority of other attack responses and thus does not effectively remove them from the card pool; it doesn't stupidly punish relatively reasonable plays; and it still murders massive swarms that deserve to die if they're going to attack blindly. I prefer and emphasis on skill promotion rather than the ridiculously trigger-happy bans you threw out in your list. Which is why you ban the methods "Reckless Swarming" and not allow Traps which can be disposed at will for swarming, for which there's nothing wrong. Is Summoning a monster a "reckless" offense too in Torrential's case? You've got Rekindling at 3 with Mirror and Torrential at 1. NOT SEEING THE LOGIC? To be quite honest' date=' the Heavy Storm/Mirror Force/Torrential Tribute problems might be most quickly solved by creating new cards, declaring them legal, and banning the originals. Why should "massive swarms deserve to die if they attack blindly"? As long as the swarm was generated through legit means, the swarm's controller should be rewarded with being able to attack with the field advantage they legitimately built on their opponent. I don't get all the jaws agape with horror and disgust when I call out cards like Grandmaster of the SS. A pound of prevention in banning sources of "reckless swarming" is worth much more than an ounce of cure in a single Mirror Force generalizing all field advantage as bad. plus it gives people like me a better chance than being run over by those bloody Judgement Dragons >_< but to ask can you link us where you got this list from >.> just for proof BLOODY JUDGEMENT DRAGONS >_< The proof lies in your heart.
