MarshyK-XS Posted February 11, 2010 Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 I joined nearly 2 years ago and things were very different1 Dj osiris (May have a different name now.) was on here a lot and was probably one of the top posters2 There was about 1 in 30 noobs rather than about 4 in 30 noobs3 their were hardly any pointless posts4 there was no flaming and arguments in threads5 the general atmosphere around there was ussually happy rather than sometimes happy like it is now (Noobs.) Posted February 12, 2010 Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 During the two years I have been here' date=' I have seen a topic about once a month declaring that the current YCM is dead and that it was much better six months ago and that everything has gone horribly wrong in the last six months. Despite this, I have never noticed any significant change in YCM's quality; it has always been the same as it ever was. Perhaps people just perceive YCM as getting worse because they run the YCM of half a year ago through a nostalgia filter when they remember it that makes it look like it was made of Jesus and chocolate, and modern YCM obviously doesn't look like that because Freddie Mercury doesn't post here. Perhaps people just tend to grow up and gradually realize that YCM has always been pretty bad, but conclude that the change took place in YCM itself rather than in their perception of YCM. Perhaps people just get bored and make up nonsense about how YCM is [b']DOOMED[/b] to stir up some drama. In any event, I have never been impressed by any of the "YCM sucks now but it was awesome six months ago" topics in the past, I am not impressed by Dark's Riku's post today, and I will not be impressed in August when today is revered as the Golden Age of YCM before it entered its downward spiral. Stupid people knew they were stupid.Now stupid people think that they're just as good as the rest of us. These two things owned this thread, and besides people who joined this site two months ago don't know sheet.YCM was bad before, now it just got worse.
