Hey! It's DARK Red! It must be FOUR times faster! [Dark Red Enchanter]

When this card is Normal Summoned, place 2 Spell Counters on it. Each time a Spell Card is activated, place 1 Spell Counter on this card. It gains 300 ATK for each Spell Counter on it. Once per turn, you can remove 2 Spell Counters from this card to make your opponent discard 1 random card.

 

Discuss this guy and the whole "Spell Counter" concept in general!

Would have been so much cooler if you could just remove as many counters as you want per turn to nuke their hand, average card as is though. Not bad but the fact that you have to tribute to get the initial counters is kinda lame since otherwise he'd be fun with Magician's Circle.

Easy w/ Endy to nuke a card each turn.

I personally like to run Marionette over this' date=' because Level 5 + monster destruction = less for arcanite to kill.

However, I'm tempted to always run at least 1. :3

don't even get that fight started again.

 

the card is good enough, but I don't use him because he's level 6, and I need level 5s for arcanite and still be able to use the same tuner for tempest on my 4's.

 

if we can get a level 8 spellcaster synchro, then I will run him, if it's good.

 

(what if the level 8 wasn't 1 monster though, like dark red and marrionette teamed up to wipe out everything. that would be cool.)

don't even get that fight started again.

 

the card is good enough, but I don't use him because he's level 6, and I need level 5s for arcanite and still be able to use the same tuner for tempest on my 4's.

 

if we can get a level 8 spellcaster synchro, then I will run him, if it's good.

Fair enough point, but I don't synchro much, if at all, in my Endy builds. In fact, I often main Oppressions.

Even if you run oppression, having synchro options can help (I run oppression in my blackwings deck, first swarm, then activate during opponent's turn, opponent screams profanity, then during my turn I end up with a combo I cannot pull off due to oppression).

ofc, but the counters on-summon and superior ATK of Dark Red tip the balance in a Deck where Synchro is a secondary feature rather than a main - that and I prefer hitting the hand where possible, since hitting the field is so easy.
