The way Turbo Duels should be played

Recommended Posts

Life Points = Fuel

Card Advantage = Speed Counters

Speed Spells would involve having a certain amount of Speed Counters, but they would never use Speed Counters as a cost.

The duel pretty much goes out as normal. The amount of cards you have on your hand and field equal the amount of Speed Counters you have.

Example

I have GB Laquari, a set Bottomless, and 4 cards in hand. I have 6 Speed Counters.

If you run out of Speed Counters, you lose the duel.

Each time you lose 2000 Fuel (Life Points), you have to discard 1 card or destroy 1 card you control.

Losing 2000 Fuel would mean going under 6000 Life Points, 4000 Life Points, and 2000 Life Points. Going under two intervals would result in you losing two cards.

You don't lose a card when you hit 0 Fuel, though.

When you hit 0 Fuel, you don't lose, but you draw a card and immediately enter your Draw Phase. (Skip your opponent's turn if he attacks for game, restart your turn if you lose Fuel during your turn.)

As long as you have 0 Fuel, you cannot normally draw cards during your Draw Phase. Also, during your End Phase, you must discard 1 card or destroy a card you control. If you regain Fuel, however, these effects become void until you hit 0 Fuel again.

Thoughts? The way I see it, Infernities would be Tier Bad.

EDIT: If you have 0 Speed Counters during an effect (Such as Card Destruction), and x number of Speed Counters after an effect would resolve, you do not lose the duel.

EDIT: Banlist

Everything currently on the regular banlist already applies or is subject to change.

the not losing by fuel is interesting' date=' but rather bad for those who don't understand advantage.

Just because you're out of fuel doesn't mean your car/motorcycle/etc would stop.

It would eventually lose speed and then come to a stop. :P

Judgment Dragon is now a one-card OTK. Nice idea' date=' though.

EDIT: Whoops, hand, too. Norleras is a one-card OTK.

We must create a banlist then.

Actually Ocean Lord is Useless in Turbo Duels since there is No ALO that makes it up...........since Speed World is the obligatory Field Spell...

Ehm that's a trap which given the amount of 141 removal that will see that format will never survive enough to be used ALSO.....

Pulling an Ocean Lord would be like a Draw anyways NO?

Also.........I like TurboRiding Duels as they are...this concept is good but not as a replace of TurboRiding Duels as it is a a whole new thing........
