Zelgius continued battling with the Fortune Lady Watery, unwilling to be defeated. He kicked the witch out of his way, pushing his way towards Carly.

"Enough," a voice rang in his head. The Black Knight immediately knelt.

Zelgius raised his head. "What is it, my liege?"

"Take the girl back to base. She is an ally."

"You heard him," Carly said. "Let's go, shall we?"

Begrudingly, Zelgius rose to his feet. A breeze of wind passed, and Zelgius and Carly were nowhere to be seen.

 

Cecil had managed to walk back up to the bleachers.

"Just who was that?" Cecil asked himself.

"You will learn soon, child."

 

Cecil turned to see who spoke, only to find himself in a room, surrounded by wooden walls. At the end of the room sat a man in a bad. A shadow was cast over the man's features, so Cecil couldn't quite make it out.

"What is this?" Cecil demanded.

"A training session," the man in the bed replied. "I sense that there will be a point in the future where a great evil, not unlike the Jubi, will resurface. I have called you from your time, to prepare you for that."

"Why me?"

"I am an old man, and I know not how long the bloodline of my successor will last. I chose the first person I sensed with extraordinary power, and that was you."

"So, how will we do this?"

"A simple fight." the man rose from his bed, taking a sword that laid next to him. "Or at least, the fight shall be simple for me."
