  1. 1. They good?

    • They should only be for fun decks, local if Konami gives them good support.
    • Bad. Only you would think they are good VK.

No i dont wanna post first mommy' date=' I wanna lol @ a noob.... dammit. archetype sucks

[/quote']

this. but remeber, in the show, the Reactor deck had the best Synchro in the game ;)

Yesh, then everyone else had to screw it up for them.

Why couldn't they make Black Salvo a Reactor tuner, then make Dark Strike Fighter need a Reactor Tuner.

Then it'll be much better for me.

If Dark Flat Top had been released' date=' would it and Sky Fire be lulzy?

[/quote']

very lulzy. and if they "DO" release it, i'd play Reactors in a heart beat.

Ridiculous DEF and it can drag out your destroyed/dumped Sky Fire?

I'd play them too.

SKY FIRE is a Semi Nomi. If it was simply dumped' date=' it wouldn't work.

But doesn't Dark Flat Top ignore that?

Or am I confused?

It does, Dark Flat Top stated that it summons regardless of effect/condition/requirement and what not.

Incorrect. Flat Top simply means that it ignores the requirement of the Reactors. It still can't revive a dumped SKY FIRE.

It's not a summoning condition, it's a rule. That's like using Level Modulation on a dumped Horus LV8 (ruling says no).

It's not a summoning condition, it's a rule. That's like using Level Modulation on a dumped Horus LV8 (ruling says no).

Not exactly. Firstly, it's unfortunately a full Nomi, not a Semi-Nomi. Secondly, that stuff listed is INDEED the summoning conditions - Level Modulation's ruling is complete BKSS. In other words, saying ignoring the summoning conditions would allow it to be summoned from the Grave - HOWEVER, if Dark Flat Top was released (which it won't be) it would either be written differently or be BKSS'd. Otherwise it would be too worth using.

Oh, and for a citation, see Spell Gear and Ancient Gear Golem.

You DO realize that rules around Special Summoning from the grave are different, right?

Also, Level Modulation's ruling sounds nothing like BKSS. In case you were referring to a different ruling, I was referring to this:

An "LV" monster that normally cannot be Special Summoned except by the method in its text CANNOT be Special Summoned from the Graveyard with "Level Modulation" unless it has been previously Special Summoned by the correct procedure. The "ignore the Summoning conditions" text allows for these monsters to be Special Summoned only after they have been properly Summoned by their own effect. This applies to "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8"' date=' "Armed Dragon LV7", "Silent Swordsman LV7", "Silent Magician LV8", and "Winged Kuriboh LV10".[/quote']

That sounds like the exact same way that most of these things are ruled. Claiming Spell Gear proves otherwise with no ruling in place to back you up is going to need several corroborating cards.

I can't say for certain one way or another, seeing as Dark Flat Top very clearly has no rulings. But if I were to compare it to Spell Gear...

Ancient Gear Golem cannot be Special Summoned. EVAR. This is effectively the same as a Fusion Monster's "cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon". "Cannot be Special Summoned" presumably means the same thing as "cannot be Special Summoned except" in all cases outside of the "except". In other words, you can equate a No-Special-Summon monster (AGG) to a Nomi monster (SKYFIRE, or a LV monster) in this situation.

The reason Level Modulation was ruled as such is because it was poorly written - it's obviously supposed to be a Monster Reborn for LV monsters, and a higher LV monster couldn't be revived when dumped, because the lower LV monster didn't "evolve" into it yet, right? If a card said "Special Summon 1 LV monster from your Deck, ignoring the summoning conditions", would you say it had to be properly summoned first? No. Instead of errata'ing the card like good people, Konami let the ruling sit there by itself. Also, I just remembered a much better example: Rainbow Gravity.

Not that any of this matters anyway. :D

Check this out:

A "Rainbow Dragon" or "Rainbow Dark Dragon" in the Graveyard that was not first properly Special Summoned cannot be Special Summoned with "Rainbow Gravity".

I think the general rule can be written as this:

If a card Special Summons a Nomi from the Graveyard' date=' [b']ignoring its summoning conditions[/b], it needs to have been properly summoned first.

Do note that, if the card Special Summoning the monster from the Graveyard IS its usual way of summoning (ex: Bonding - H2O), then it needn't be properly summoned first.

You can use "Bonding - H2O" to Special Summon a "Water Dragon" from your Graveyard' date=' even if it was not properly Summoned previously.[/quote']

That's how I understand this stuff. Sound good?

As for Spell Gear, Spell Gear doesn't summon from the Graveyard. Cards returned to the hand or deck have to be properly summoned again, noting the lack of cards' "memory." Therefore, since the Ancient Gear Golems cannot be proven to have been summoned correctly previously, either Spell Gear is useless (what else is new?) or it does what it says it does. I'm figuring that, since Rainbow Gravity allows for the Special Summoning of a Rainbow Dragon from a deck despite it not having been summoned properly, Spell Gear allows for the Special Summoning of Ancient Gear Golems.
