Um...

 

yesterday the WHOLE day it couldnt load

Empathy, GET!!! A lot of times, I try to load YCM, but it takes forever. One time, I loaded and waited for 5 minutes. Wasn't there. I waited a few more seconds then took like a 10 minute dump. When I came back, it still didn't finish loading.

Hi guys,

 

I was asked to come on here and help make some optimizations.

 

Me and another IT guy have made some changes/optimizations here.

 

- We're now using a InnoDB instead of MyISAM on a few tables (for those of you who know what that means)

- We lowered the amount of writes to the disk by turning off a few things on the backend

- SLN will be performing a fsck on the disk here at some point. We think the disk might have corruption errors or is going bad

- The search engine is now running Sphinx, which is a much much faster search engine then MySQL's fulltext searching

 

We think these changes are gonna keep the site running more smoothly but at some point this site is going to need another dedi.
