2 Tuner Monsters + "Red Dragon Archfiend"

This card gains ATK equal to the number of Tuners in your Graveyard x 500. This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of your opponent's Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters. Once during each of your opponent's turns, you can remove this card from play. During the turn in which this effect is used, you can negate the attack of 1 opposing monster. This card removed from play by this effect is returned to your side of the field during the End Phase of that turn. [/align]

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

If this card attacks a Defense Position monster your opponent controls, destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls after damage calculation. During your End Phase, destroy all other monsters you control that did not declare an attack this turn.

Seeing how he doesn't have a confirmed effect as of yet, let's discuss his original form, Red Dragon Archfiend!

I already have a deck planned that can summon this and Shooting Star Dragon in the same deck easily, should be quite fun. Red Dragon Archfiend is a decent card for breaking through any sort of stall that your opponent may be playing but since generally no one uses defense position monsters these days, he's rather outclassed in the already tight 15 card Extra Deck.

Since when was Ryko not run in most every deck these days? And SNMH. Plenty of defense is played this format from what I've heard.

I wasn't referring to Flip Effects as they generally are killed on attack as most have miserable Defense in the first place, Hamster being an obvious exception. Outside of Flip Effects, what defensive monsters are used? Next to none that I know of. There are more effective ways to deal with Flips than RDA.

Gravekeeper's Spy?

Edit: Nevermind

Should be able to be Special Summoned from the Graveyard (if Special Summoned successfully previously) via Archfiend's Roar

Might help speed up any Assault Modes or bringing out a copy that had been destroyed/tributed for Assault Mode/Synchro'd for Scar-Red/Majestic previously instead of just resynching again x.o

I tried adding The Shallow Grave to my Stardust Assault deck (even though it Special Summons face-down, it can still be used for Assault Mode Activate at least) to perform the same purpose, though I haven't decided its value yet.

Scar-Red probably has an effect where you check the top 5 cards of your deck' date=' and for each Dragon-Type among them, it gains 1000 ATK. It also does piercing damage.

[/quote']

O.O

Seeing as how Shooting Star is based on Tuners, which Yusei's deck is loaded with, I just sort of "reverse engineered" the effect to fit Jack's deck.

Regardless of how his "new way of fighting" turns out, it seems obveious he still goes for monsters with high ATK.

That's not high, that's OVER 6000! Piercing...

Beatsticking is not meta by any means, but still...

actually, RDD isn't actually an archfiend, the ocg name doesn't have archfiend in the name.

"Demon" is the buzzword for "Archfiend" in japan. Well, Red Dragon Archfiend does have "Demon" in its japanese name... well "Deemonzu" (for Demon's), but "deemon" (Demon) is indeed in the name itself, so it should be an Archfiend, but maybe its not~

It is an Archfiend.

I don't think Scar is an Accel since it doesn't need a Synchro Tuner. Also needing 2 Tuners isn't that bad since they can each be level 2. Also would this be the first synchro that needs 2 tuners?

Don't forget the synchro that screw the rules...

I didn't forget him. He still only needs one tuner so Scar take the title of first to need 2.

May have found Scar-Red's possible effect...

Then again, it is from lolwiki.

well your right, it IS lolwiki, but if that is the effect, its pretty decent seeing how right when he's summoned he'll already have 1500+ attack. and if your opponet tries to bounce him during his/her turn you can call priority, and remove it from play to keep it safe.

i'm guessing here.
