Eibon1307
Ok. In my recent days I have been trying to adjust to new decks and new cards. I decided to check out some State tourneys online and watched some interesting things. The biggest Deck debate is Lightsworn V. Blackwings. But no one really asks, EBI V. Blackwings, Lightsworn V. Infernity, and so on. What would happen if these decks went up against eachother in a Tourney? Disc. (No answers based on how these decks do in the anime please. Real Life accounts please.) Father Wolf
BW i would say is tier 1.5 but LS is sheet tier right now. so BW would win =/
Eibon1307
I think 60 percent of the users I have *Spoke* (Argued) with have claimed Lightsworn is the best!!!!! I have no clue. In my opinion I dont like Milling... Thats as bad as destroying your cards on purpose. The few good times to mill is with Gemini's and cards that have no Summoning restricitons from the graveyard. I have like three blackwing monsters. Theyre ok. I have one EBI, Wiraqocha Rasca (I know. Pathetic card.) and two infernities. So, I have no idea which would be better or worse. Hence the discussion. White Void
Top right now are X-Sabers and Infernity as far as archetypes go. Lightsworn had their day in the sun but they're not consistent enough anymore to be the deck that we had come to love and loathe. Blackwings are still decent but they're not top anymore. More like Tier 2 these days. Earthbound Immortals have their obvious huge glaring weakness that stops them from being truly competitive anytime soon. Azmodius
Infernities are the best right now. Saber have lost power, so have LS, BW. Quickdraw is aso good. But one of the bullshitiest trends at lolocals is Crystal Beasts.

Eibon1307
I havnt played for three years or more so I am behind. But, there are still a large number of YCM members who absolutely love LS and BW along with others. I have seen no love for Crystal Beasts though. Most people hate them like no other. worse than old school cards. And lolycm? huh???

blackhawk29
I'm sorry to say this but in all of my duels, the opponent would start with a completely kick a** hand and I would have that pethetic hand, and in four turns I'd lose. What the truth is is that most people Stack there deck or cheat in verious ways so they'd win in six or seven turns. You know instintly they're cheating if they have two Judgement Dragons on the field after two turns, or preformed an OTK on the first turn. I'm not saying its impossible, but its extremely unlikely. The way I see it is that (in most tornaments) people want money and cheat the only reason new decks are climbing the ranks is that the same cheaters are making decks with new cards and cheating at the game. Or another is that the deck is full of three of each monster and is impossible to get the cards they want and completely "pwn the newbs" who don't know the game well. It is the truth (hope I don't get banned for this or get this thing locked for this comment) and most people do cheat even I cheat (Not in tornaments though i'd get banned) against my friends. Or theres a 50-50 chance there just a good player, but even then they won't against a cheater. Any way thats just my thoughts, why because i entered tornaments with a completely solid deck (Not the one now) and i was torn to peacies in not even ten minutes (5 each duel) and it was completely solid, I mean solid, and it lost to a plant deck so i myself copied it and now i never win cause i traded my good cards, if you can explain how the person one agaisnt me with a solid deck, unless he cheated, then maybe the deck was good and I'm horrible at the game. Dr. Cakey
Allow me to explain something to you, Mr. Eibon1307: Now, with Lumina and Charge of the Light Brigade both @ 1, Lightsworns have stumbled far, far. But milling is not destroying your cards, it's slimming your deck to make your draws better. The huge amount of milling Lightsworns do is counterproductive in terms of lost Spells and Traps, but the large number of monsters in the Graveyard supercharge the deck. But LS is neither here nor there. If you want to see good decks in action, you can read Konami's blog of YCS/SJC. Hatred of Crystal Beasts is mostly an on-going meme from long ago which goes something like: "i think they should ban crystal beasts mostly because its one of the best decks"And lolycm is our classic response to ridiculous statements. Saying "In my opinion I dont like Milling... Thats as bad as destroying your cards on purpose." is roughly on par with "I think drawing is bad because it can make you deck out." Saying "In my opinion I dont like Milling... Thats as bad as destroying your cards on purpose." is roughly on par with "I think drawing is bad because it can make you deck out." First, It's not Mr. anything. It's Eibon1307. Or just Eibon. And, Sure, if you build your deck right Milling is great, but with collectors like myself, we build decks to work with the cards we have or we build decks that have more than just one strategy. Adding Milling to a deck like these listed kind of messes them all up and just practically destroys our cards. My top deck is one that utilizes Demise and The Masked Beast Ritual monsters to discard Horus 8 from my hand to the graveyard then use LV modulation to bring him out of the graveyard without needing his summoning conditions. Alot of my decks are like this. They use a send to graveyard/summon without needing to meet summoning conditions. Some monsters you must summon to the field and have them destroyed in order to SS them from the Grave. You cant send them from the hand of deck to the grave and summon them next turn cause you must summon them to the field first. If I added milling to these decks that would hurt me because I'd lose my strategy and burn cards for no reason. I'd most likely lose LV modulation, the ritual cards needed, or my high level monsters that I need to sacrifice to summon Demise and The Masked Beast. So, I dested milling. It is simply destroying my cards. If you build your deck well enough, you shouldnt need to mill that much. And now there are cards that make milling negateable. IMO it's a weak thing to do. so sure, laugh at me or whatever. But its my opinion. Doesnt mean its wrong or right.

-Berserker-
I accept your opinion, but here is a tip. There is something known as BKSS ruling. It means "Because Konami says so". It's a rule that prevents you from using Level Modulation in a Horus LV8 that was not previously summoned...
White Void
Sometimes it is best to keep one's opinion to oneself, when one states that a mechanic that was the centerpiece of what during it's time was one of the strongest decks to exist in the game is equivalent to "destroying your own cards"....that is one of those times when that opinion needs to be kept to their self. Because sometimes an opinion can be wrong, if someone says self-mill is a bad concept when it has been proven to not be, the opinion is just wrong. This isn't something where an opinion makes a difference in regards to result data from tournaments all over the world.
