You either got a probably OTK machine or a card that blows up the whole field... Because destroying such a gigantic monster is not likely to happen. Either way, the LIGHT Ruler isn't bad. Returning cards from the graveyard and negating at the cost of attack/def points. ~Oleon~ Posted June 6, 2010 Report Share Posted June 6, 2010 You see, on both of them, both options are great.Light Ruler has partial immunity, but with most Meta Decks, it won't stand a chance, seeing as they use like 4 or more cards activating per turn. So, Light Ruler's TAILs effect is...eh in this format.Dark Ruler has a TAILs effect which can be amazing in todays meta, and mostly benefits from it ALL. Except on Infernities, they'll mostly get Mist Wurm out to wipe it out from the field, and lead you to a dead hand. Light Ruler's HEADs effect can be lulzy - although it may be too slow unless its about Special Summoning the whole way through, benefiting from hands. Dark Ruler's HEADs effect is a walking OTK. Also, adding cards from grave to hand isn't bad, but only if Light Ruler is ensured to survive and destroy a monster by battle while Macro/Dimen. Fissure isn't in play. The other effect is good, but after negating 2 cards he goes to 2000 ATK, which is soooo easily beatable. Dark Ruler can perform a OTK himself, or if he gets the other effect, punishing your opponent when he destroys it. It shouldn't be a -3 if you're playing it properly. I wouldn't know, if I needed a field nuke I would usually look to Black Rose Dragon.I guess using that card which swaps effect could turn a double attacker into a field nuke if you played it right.
