If there are 4 or more DARK monsters with different names in your Graveyard' date=' you can Tribute Summon this monster by Tributing 1 DARK monster. You can send 1 DARK monster from your hand to the Graveyard to destroy all monsters your opponent controls. If you activate this effect, destroy this card during the End Phase of this turn.[/quote']

It would be banworthy if it special summoned when you had 4+ dark monsters in the graveyard.

Oh I'm sorry. Raigeki definitely isn't banworthy. My bad.

Absolute Zero is a walking raigeki, so is this, what's the big deal? Raigeki is TOO easy to use, this requires summoning (2/1 tributes or some form of special summon) and a discard cost, and it blows itself up if you use it at the end phase.

Overall, it isn't fast enough to be banworthy in the meta.

I adore this card. My Dark Counterpart deck just plain loves it. It follows the spirit of Archlord Zerato with the Raigeki effect, but it's easier to summon without conditions, and self-destructs at the end of the turn. Being Level 8 supports the Trade-In draw engine my deck uses and it's just so amazing with all the DARK support.

Absolute Zero's always been insanely overpowered, it just happens to be part of a game where a ridiculous number of cards fit into its category beyond the point of hope.

But yeah, it's similar in design to the Envoys. It's a painfully painless-to-plunk-on-the-field heavy beatstick with heavy bonuses for hardly any drawbacks whatsoever.

If someone comes in here and tries to argue that this isn't banworthy' date=' I've lost all hope in this forum.

I was kind of expecting no-one would've brought that up by the time I looked at the topic again.

lolycm.

This is definately banworthy. It is very easy to summon, turns all Dark monsters in your hand into Raigeki, it is a 2800 ATK beatstick on top of that and the Deck dedication required for this card is laughable and the fact it kills itself at the End is not enough of a drawback. Also, this cannot be compared to Absolute Zero who has to be removed from the field to be able to use its Raigeki effect.

Of course this won't be banned in this meta because it is overshadowed by bigger problems that Konami is stupid enough to leave unattended.

A card won't be banned unless it indicated itself to be banworthy. In other words, if someone tops the next YCS with a Darklord Deck, this would be...Limited, probably. Of course, no one's going to win YCS with a Darklord Deck any time soon.

It's the same as with A0 - despite its clear destructive power, it hasn't reached high levels of the SJC/YCS, so it's been untouched.
