Wait' date=' so i don't get it if Lightsworn was such a broken Archetype, why didn't it win as many Shonen Jump Championships as other Archetypes like Blackwing or Gladiator Beasts? Also, this is now a hot Thread!

LS - 3

BW - 2

3 > 2

Prisma Glads were just a strong deck in a format with almost no competition. Thats why they have so much wins.

Yeah but still it isn't fair to just give them such a big Blow in one Ban List at least with Gale they waited 2 or 3 Ban Lists and then Banned the Spell Card not all at once.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they immediately Limited Gale and then Black Whirlwind was the next, right? Besides, Blackwings were new - Lightsworns had two-three years of being completely untouched (unless you consider Semi'ing JD to be a blow). Deal with it.

Okay okay and yes they had to semi Judgment since 3 was just impossible to beat. Okay you have a more valid Argument Lightsworns deserved this.

Two is still two more than there should be. Just to re-emphasize, there is still one more DAD than there should be - I spread my hate lavishly. Even without JD, Lightsworns have Celestia the Ultra-Monarch and even lolGragonith. It's not used because it doesn't fit with the rest of the Lightsworn destruction-swarm, but it is still a shiny and incredibly powerful beatstick. There are archetypes that would kill for a 3000+ ATK 1 tribute piercer.

Besides, even without THOSE, you can add some toolbox Lightsworns like Lyla or Ehren to some other deck, and tack -sworn at the end of the deck name - congratulations it's now 3x faster.

JD isn't broken. He's only good in LS. If he could be any 4 monsters in your Grave' date=' then he'd be broken but he needs 4+ LS with different names and costs 1000 LP for his effect.

[/quote']

You missed the part where it nukes the field, not to mention that it is a big beatstick on top of that. Also, the Deck dedication required for it is simply laughable.

His nuke-the-field effect is chainable to Divine Wrath and is no match for AOJ Catastor.

Counterability =/= balance. The effect is still the same. I've played LS for years and I can tell you now, the Deck dedication required for it is no where near enough to balance it out. It is still an easy to summon beatstick with a half the price of Demise field nuke and it can still attack afterwards.

This card is super broken. Anyone who says otherwise needs a tomato to the face.

Still epic yes, but nothing about JD isn't broken. Nuke, easy cost, easy summon, probably ends the duel fast enough to never see the mill effect, laughs at book of moon, best friends with solemn and honest, easily recovered in it's own deck (By first turn it can hit the graveyard and then the hand, so technically it can be easily 'searched'...) lv8 gives it good support, PoC able... Goodness gracious.

Aren't noobs cute when they try to think? Obviously it would be broken if it was any 4 monsters. Curse of Dragon would be broken if it could be Special Summoned just by having 4 monsters in your Graveyard (not really, but you know what I mean). And it's not like he's the saving grace of an otherwise weak archetype - even without JD, Lightsworns are aggressive, high-speed justice-bringers that honestly can do well enough on their own.

Appear in this Shadow Game as I call your name' date=' Winged Dragon of Ra!- Yami Marik[/quote']

They're also cute when they quote the dub non-ironically.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned, except by removing from play 4 "Lightsworn" monsters with different names in your Graveyard. Battle Damage to your opponent from battles involving this card is halved. You can pay 2000 Life Points to destroy all other cards on the field. If you do, this card cannot declare an attack this turn. During the End Phase, send the top 4 cards from your Deck to the Graveyard.

fixed?
