Crash and Spyro typically did finally fall into the pit, but not as quickly as you might've thought.

Warped was typically when they managed to get the hub based item collection right, what with their easily expanded choice of terrain. The Wrath of Cortex made use of the PS2 engine in order to go a little further, such as actually MAKING COCO PLAYABLE! *Twitches* Twinsanity had some good points, despite how unforgiving it can be sometimes (stuped N.Gin). The racing games as well had some decent charm in them, such as Tag-Team Racing. It was an interesting concept because you were effectively forced to team up in order to win races, and then you could easily detach and take home the gold. The Titans one is typically touch and go, depending on whether or not you played it. As it was the reboot to the series, I couldn't sya I was overly impressed from first appearance. They turned Aku Aku from a wise shaman-type to some fat black dude from New York. But I digress, the titan battling was somewhat fun, as you get these juggernauts of destruction that is only stopped by knee-high walls. Of course, I was definitely unhappy with Crunch's steadying decline. He gave the appearance of something to be feared in TWoC, but then he dove in Mr. T'ism, and sadly never came out. R.I.P. awesome Crunch. Whilst there was fun to be had in the hub based collection of Gems and Crystals, not to mention the shiny shiny relics, there was only so much they could do before they were forced to break out.

Spyro on the other hand, did suffer early. The first three games were good, I did miss the original gem design when they went over into 2, but we can't have everything. Spyro 1 was good in it's design, beautiful terrains, fun bosses (Metalhead in particular), and of course, getting Gnorc butt. In 2, we went from rescuing eggs and dragons whilst collecting treasure to claiming orbs, gems and the talismans. It was a difficult transition but they did bring some knew things to the table, such as last minute flutter when gliding, swimming, climbing, head smash. They did also bring Moneybags, I am not sure how many people liked him, but then it made it better to torture him in 3. I also forgot that the game also brought skill points, which reward you for doing certain things, some easy like beating 4 Catbats in a certain area, and some hard...I don't have an example as I cna't remember them all. 3, it was fun due to having some new playable characters for once, like our good friend Bentley, the well-spoken club-wielding yeti. We also get Hunter's love interest Bianca (who could blame him, ryow). Collecting the eggs though made it seem less fun, as there were no secondary collectables to get. But we can't have everything, as 3 gave us a quest oriented Gnasty's Loot level, those who played #1 would get the ref. Sadly, Year of Dragonfly came. I haven't had the chance to play it, but from what I understand it was poorly done, long loading times and shortness were a few issues. From what I learned the creators rushed the project in order to get a winter release, which is what wrecked it. Then, a Hero's Tail. Much like Titans, you can go by looks, are by story. The game looks great, let's not mince words, it looks beautiful. And the story, it was okay. Vengeful dragon, corruption of the world yada yada. The issue I had wiht thise game was the unusual tendency for the saves to get corrupted and the fact that you can't replay bosses. I know its technical in that regard, but seriously.

I dislike it when they rebooted the series, I really did. It went from Spyro the Dragon to Dragon Age, taking in those silly RPG elements and just, ugh. I can't say I was too impressed, as I generally refused to play them out of princeple. I did play the third one, as it was two player effectively, no other reason besides that. It was okay enough, but then, Hunter... Yeah I'm done here.

Warped kicked ass because of Crash's power-ups and the various things Cras and Coco can ride. Crash 1 and 2(Crash 2 probably being my favorite) were also very well done and equally as fun. And TBH, the newer Crash are "fine" and all, its just... They completely revamped the characters and... well.. they became "weird".

Would have been nice if they kept the same voice actors, but ehh.... What can you do.

I did play Twinsanity. It was good for a laugh, but some the later stages were just a pain in the ass.

Methinks they changed the gem design for a more "realistic" approach, but that might be pushing it. Spyro 1 was a little dark for a beginning game(enemies moon you, they use "real" guns, blood on the ends of knives, etc, etc) but it was a wonderful game all around. Spyro 2 is probably my favorite just because of how easy and fun it is to fully(glitches included) explore a lot of the levels, and the fact they had a Super Flame power-up at the end just made it wonderful. Spyro 3.... Agent Nine's Fireworks Factory stage is like the most fun thing ever. Scratch that, EVERYTHING about that game is fun. Spyro 1 and 2 were more "artsy" IMO with its environments and cast of characters that really set a lot of the mood. Spyro 3 was more about things being fun, and they did that well. Lets face it, UFO battle to the death for the "true" final boss is arguably one of the the most fun Spyro battles ever. And yes, the "revenge" on Moneybags was priceless. And I was planning to get game 4, but because of long loading.... eww.... Heros Tail looks fun, and I've seen most of in via Youtube. I might get it at some point, mostly cuz' Mecha Red looks badass.

I did play Legend of Spyro a New Beginning. I like the RPG gimmick and all, but it gets repetitive REALLY fast when it takes 1-2 minutes to kill each enemy, and then 5-10 minutes per boss. And Spyro being "invincible" kinda' defeats a lot of the purpose. Though David Spaid as Sparx was pretty lulzy now and then.

And I did see bits of the other newer Spyro games via youtube, and they seem like the same "DERP, ENEMIES TAKE 3 MINUTES TO KILL" game all over again, despite having a co-op >__>

Though the fact Spyro and Cinder can now actually fly wherever they want(THOUGH RESTRICTED BECAUSE OF INVISIBLE WALLS, OF COURSE) seems fun.

I loved the first Spyro game, in fact it was the first Playstation game I ever owned. The art was fantastic, the enemies were fun to just run around and kill (Who doesn't want to toast the guy who just mooned you?) I loved the simplicity of it and the fact that it didn't care about keeping it "kid friendly" with it's design. Spyro 2 was fun, Hunter made me laugh and the final boss was kinda lulzy. I didn't like the fact that you had to travel to the most obscure part of a mission just to find the last object you needed. I did however, LOVE to fly around as the Penguin and just own everything with missiles. I never got around to playing the third game, but I wish I could've.

I own Spyro Dragonfly, and it SUCKS so hard. Long load times, really no real plotline except "CATCH DRAGONFLIES IN BUBBLES!". I mean seriously, BUBBLE BREATH? I mean sure if your a squritle or something, but SPYRO THE F***ING DRAGON should not be blowing bubbles. Hero's Tail was meh, flawed yet playable. That one Pink Dragon was annoying.

The Reboot I enjoyed, I kinda wished for it to go back to the original style of play, but I could accept the reboot since it was actually entertaining both visually and with it's story. The CO-OP portion of the third game was a little meh, and having to work with Cinder felt like a chore. Hunter was cool, but I missed his original form.

Suffice to say, when your end a series, END IT. Don't drag it on with seemingly endless releases. Otherwise you end up with a necessary reboot and hope it works out, like it did for Spyro.

I also did like the secret power up obtained in TWoC, SUPAH BELLYFLOP!

I never got the Super Bellyflop in Wrath of Cortex...

I had the correct gem in order to get that "secret" pathway to open up, and even got to it without dieing(It was apparently a requirement?)

But it never showed up ;-;

Wrath of Cortex was like a weird Crash 2 and 3 mash-up. The levels were awesome but had the same "challenge" aspect that Crash 2, with its gem paths and stuff.

Sgt. Byrd WAS funner in the 3rd game.

Love how he could also bomb people.

That's odd, maybe it was a differnece between versions, as I got the Pal version.

The PAL version of Crash 2 let you press Triangle to get a free mask.

But it only worked once per life and only if you didn't have one.

(At least if I remember correctly)

Cause lord knows their is NOTHING SILLY about a tiny heorin trip and his millatary minded penguin friend.

HOW DARE THEY NOT GIVE SPYRO THE MOST DANGEROUS OF ARNAMENTS, THE AUDACITY!

BUBBLES! IN A KIDS GAME! THIS IS SPYRO! HE IS TOO DARK AND EDGY FOR BUBBLES!

Agent Nine gets an AK-47

Spyro 2 had the best Power-Up.

BUBBLES! IN A KIDS GAME! THIS IS SPYRO! HE IS TOO DARK AND EDGY FOR BUBBLES!

The Bubble power is an idiotic plot device.

At least they cut it and kept his other elemental powers with New Beginning.

....Of course, in New Beginning the Thunder Breath is the best ability in that game due to its ability to throw people off ledges and cause them insta-death.

I have killed people with bubbles, it may be dorky but this is spyro. You have yeti's play hockey.

Any arguements about how ridiculos their actions may be is not acknowledging what the game your talking about IS.

If this was CoD it would be stupid, in spyro I am simply suprised you guys are so shocked.

Anyone who is shocked that they put bubbles on a dragon forget that they also put rocket launchers on a penguin.

Oh course the loading time was tediously long but the bubbles rants just seem like the mating call of anal fanboys.

Yeti Boxing... OH GOD NO.

Actually, I wasn't ranting about the bubble-breath. In fact, I wasn't ranting at all.

Its just.... It was a plot device that did like no damage to actual enemies and junk :/

...it's bubbles they aren' exactly lethal.

Heatman, and Flame Stag's weakness.

Which if you think about it, is the point, that is why your using them against dragonflies to replace a pokeball.

At least Pokeballs hurt when you throw them at people.

Even though you'll probably go off on how stupid I'm being or some s*** like that, I'd like to point out that this contradicts the post before it where you said you killed people with bubbles.

Just sayin.

Ah but see, that involves a creative application of bubbles involving trapping them in them and injections to bloodstream and all that stuff.

And bubble kirby.

But those bubbles were intentionally weaponoized by either Kirby's natural evolutionary powers, Megaman copying a robot REPROGRAMED for combat purposes (Which explains why it's bubles and not a aqua jet) or a pokemon move)

Spyro's bubbles are just bubbles and completly intended as a capturing unit.

Unlike eggs burning or ramming a dragonfly WOULD kill it.

Incase your wondering, that's bad.
