"I'd appreciate it if you'd stop calling me princess." was her only reply. "I guess it's alright..." she put some modifications upon the mind, making the intent of killing not there but not too far away from the man's thoughts. She instilled a respect for all people, and more and more remorse.

The man would end up turning himself in.

"That's alright now." she said happily, euphoria rampant.

Justice nodded at what Selene had done

"Im posted here for now I get moved around for justicce needs to be everywhere."

Justice said and then turned to Royce

"I am the spirit of Justice my name was forgotten long ago, I spread justice to the world and there for that is my name."

Justice said taking a bow

"Carefull about using that word you may end up there one day."

Justice said as he looked up at Royce

"And I am your elder whom of which you seem to have no respect, I think you are going to be seeing alot of me though, I can see the injustice in you and it discusts me."

D. sat silently as lost himself in his own thought. "...Something doesn't seem right." It was the Warui, he knew it. There was something... off about him, even for a spirit. How he talked, how he acted. How he called himself neither Yoi or Warui. And the more he listened, heard their speach, heard Selene's almost to quick trust in her supposed "enemy"... It didn't fit. "The main goal of the Warui is to be alive again. To do that they must kill every still living soul and retake the earth... so why would one ever hold restraint? It's like... like he's fighting with himself or something." Only then did D. look up, realising that they had left. "Crud. The first interesting thing since dying, and you let her, them, whatever get away. Well, better catch up before they forget you exist."

It took some walking but eventually he caught up to them, selene at that time only just starting her lesson on moral punishment. It was after a bit that this new comer "Justice" appeared and started talking... And Derrick laughed. "Justice?" D. said walking out from the shadows exposing himself. "Tell me, what is Justice? What is it that "defines" your so called Justice?" He float-walked over to the group, making brief eye contact with Selene before looking back to the others. "Because to be honest, I've been looking for the answer to that question for a long time now."

Justice looked at the newcomer

"Justice, is something that is selfless you do it not for you but for the benifit of others in good intent only taking life that is stained with the blood of inocense and taking not out of rage or out of revenge, but out of kindness, and concern for the well being of others."

Justice said as he held a fist over his heart

"To fight for justice is to fight for those you love and care for, and even though my loved ones died many years ago I fight to see that this world is not corrouted by the evils that it forces upon itself."

Justice said proudly

"Justice... if only now that was the truth... I have a question for you," D. looked Justice straight in the eyes, seriousness evident in his voice. "How does it feel being the spirit of an emotion which in this world, there is so very little of?"

He looked around the city, watching as people scurried around, to preoccupied to even notice or greet one another.

"Perhaps when you lived, justice was something the mass believed in, something they strove to obtain. But now..."

A homeless man sat on the sidewalk with a "will work for food sign" on it, being ignored by everyone.

"Now that word has no meaning. Now the world is a different place, where the successful and powerful always win, aided by a web of greed. Justice's very meaning has been warped and twisted to meet the wants of the powerful, with everyone bound by the rules of a flawed society. True justice, the kind devoid of ignorance, anger and greed, that kind of justice is a dying breed... And I assume you have realized this as well."

Selene watched D with interest. She wondered how Royce was feeling, being the only Warui in a cloud of Yois.

"Good to see you again, D, I suppose." she inclined her head to the spirit. "WE have realized such things, and I am trying to help out Royce here have different ways to express revenge other than killing." she said.

She looked at them both, hoping they would understand what she was doing. Changing the nature of a Warui was hard, but it was worth it if it could save lives.

"If only I could express it in words, being the spirit of Justice in a world were the very meaning of the word has been changed into a greed and diseased riden perversion of itself, but that is why I fight to bring it back, even if I can't turn the whole world I can have and impact on as many as possible."

Justice said with confidence

Justice turns to look at Selene

"If you both would allow, I could assist in teaching Royce."

Justice said as he looked now to Royce

Selene shook her head; she knew that Royce would most probably object to being a pupil based on his insanity; only the words partner would help him along.

And she could tellthat Royce wasn't really happy with Justice.

But... Justice was her friend...

"Hm...alright, I guss you can tag along, as long as Royce doesn't mind." she said, watching the murderer set off at a fast pace towards the nearest police station.

"There, see, he's probably going to spend the rest of this life in jail!" she said, satisfied.

"Go ahead and do the honors, Royce." Selene was still uneasy about Royce's motives; he might make the guy overdose or kil himself accidentally.

"Go on."

"General!"

The yoi general perked up from his spot of mediation. "What is it?" he asked, not too gently.

"There have been reports of a Yoi spirit allying herself with a Warui!"

"this isn't good. not good. Send out the Toorima." the general's emotion was calm, so his eyes betrayed no emotion.

The toorima were spirit killers. They were creatures specially designed to kill a spirit that got out of hand.

"Yeah, I guess your right Selene. I just... well, I suppose it's in my nature to hate what the worlds become." D. tagged along, watching as the others attempted to "re-train" royce to the side of good. As he watched, an interesting thought crossed his mind. "Say, if we do manage to "cure" royce, what will happen? I mean, has it ever been done before? Has a spirit ever changed allignment?"

Royce looked at the drug dealer and smirked. "Payback time Boy"

He started to make the man throw all of his drugs out on the street and give every passing bystander some of his profits until he was drop dead broke.

"Hehe, Hows that?"

Royce looked at his work, pleased with himself for not torturing the pitiful human.

"The man started to wail and the cops came and took him away.

"Punk..."

Selene nodded. "Thats good. And it gives you the sort of same sense as you get when you do violent and physical revenge, no?" she asked patiently, turning around.

She stopped, and stiffened.

"Oh...crap..." she breathed.

The ghostly figure of a toorima was behind them. These were the trained spirit assassins; they didn't stop until their prey was dead. Behind it were more. The group made up about seven; they were outnumbered.

"What do THEY want?" she asked. Maybe they only wanted one of them.

She quickly quashed that selfish thought.

"We...want...all..." gave the leading toorima as a ethereal hiss.

"General...order...us...ATTACK!" Was the last raspy words of the toorima leader as the other surge dforward and began to fight.

Selene swallowed her fear and drew her sword (or rather, had it materialized in her hand) and swung to take on the first one she saw.

It hissed at her, having a battleax in her hand. She gulped. She hated battleaxes.

She had a shield in front ofher, and just in time as well. The toorima hissed.

Toorima could create things, but only things that they used. Nothing else, like walls or other things like an angry human that runs over and does something, or a truck that runs them all over. Only weapons.

"Oh crud... I know I haven't been exactly the best of yoi, but assassins?" D. worked fast to dodge the incoming attacks of the toorima. Didn't know much about them, but he knew they were bad news for weaker spirits, and never good news for the strong. "The general huh, and they wonder why I hate authority." As he stared into the face of death, he knew there could be only one true reasoning for this unexpected appearence. Royce... He knew that Selene wouldn't like the thought, she seemed to always see the good in everyone which was something he respected, but it was the only thing that made sense.

"I have a feeling these guys don't feel like working things out rationally. So I guess I have no choice then..." He held out his left hand as his tatoo began to glow. "My will as my weapon... Defy!" A Large Riot shield with the actual word RIOT on the front appeared in his left hand, a checkered whip in his right. "Watch as the weapons of the oppressor become the weapon of the oppressed, now die!" D. lunged at the Toorima infront of him, shield infront, whip lashing.

Justice held his hands out wide as if accepting the attacks

"May the weapons of justice smite all whom stand in my way."

a sword appeared in Justice's right hand and in the other a shield bearing the templar crest

Justice slashed at the toorima

Justice brout the sword down on one of the toorima while swinging the flat of the shield at another

The first toorima died at the hand of Justice, with an earsplitting scream so loud that even Selene, the most tolerant of them all, winced.

She brought her sword down, and the metal clanged with the toorima.

She winced as the metal from the toorima's sword scraped her side, a mere graze, but it REALLY stung. There was some kind of venom on the blades; it wasn't poison but it made any wounds inflicted sting. If it hit you REALLY deep, then you might die of pain.

Justice was hit by one of the blades, it glanced off his armor but the shock of the impact was enuf to stun him for a moment

Justice came to and bearly dodged an attack from one of the toorima

"I can not, and will not fail."

Justice slammed his shield into one of toorima and then thrust his blade at it's midsection, putting all of his strength into his thrust

Using the RIOT for it's full potential, D. slammed into the Toorima, breaking the lance it had attempted to attack him with. As he shoved the assassin out of the way, he readied his whip. Lashing it straight at the Toorima, Instead of just bouncing off the spirit hunter, it went through it, stabbing it in the shoulder, before pulling out.

"This should be fun. I haven't faught anyone in a while, and what better thing for the spirit of defiance to fight than the very thing that tries to command it?"

With it's right arm damaged, the toorima summoned a dagger, attempting to circle around and strike swiftly. Unfortunately it wouldn't have the chance, as the moment it came close to him, he whipped the ground, causing the earth to shift a bit and the toorima to stumble. "Perfect." With one last lash, he stabbed the creature, right where the heart should be. "Two down, 5 to go."

Selene decapitated one after it gave her another stinging cut on her face to remember. As long as she didn't bleed too much, she'd just wait till after they killed all of them to heal herself.

Since the next toorima had a sword, she turned her sword into a mace and chain and began to fight, swinging the spiked ball of pain around and around and it latched around the toorima's sword.

With her strength, she was able to break off the blade part of the sword, leaving only a small bit and then the hilt.

The toorima hissed and regenerated a battleax.

Great. Those worked REALLY well against maces and chains.
