Starlight Lure? Dark Bribe Lure? Generic Trap Lure?

I don't see what's bad with the card, apart from a waste of space and dead draws.

Discuss.

It is sort of like De-Spell. If you try to risk it you can end up not selecting a Trap, -1 yourself, returning this to the Deck, fattening your Deck and having the chance of drawing it again to repeat.
Or activate your opponent's Call of the Haunted xD

Looks like something that would appear in the anime and make a fun combo.

Lulzy when it hits a Solemn Judgment.

Possible Main Deck/Side Deck numbers?

You sure about that? Solemn can easily be activated against Bait Doll. Is there a ruling to support this?
Solemn can negate Bait Doll paying half your Life Points, but it's up to the player if they want to chain or not.

If Bait Doll, however, tries to force the activation of Solemn, it would just destroy it and return to the deck. Solemn cannot activate in response, so your opponent does not pay Life Points unless he/she wants.

In fact, the timing can never be correct on a Counter Trap, because Counters must be activated in response to a card activation, and Bait Doll's effect forces Solemn to activate on its resolution. Solemn cannot be chained, and therefore its activation timing is incorrect.

That seems stupid.

I like the concept to this card, as it forces the activation of something, and the destruction is dependent on whether or not you can use it at that time.

It targets Solemn, Solemn is forced to cost that player half his lifepoints to negate this card, and then it goes back to your deck.
Hilarious.

If "Bait Doll" is activated and targets "Magic Jammer", "Magic Drain", etc. the opponent may chain the Trap Card to negate and destroy "Bait Doll". If he / she does not, the Trap Card will be destroyed since the activation timing is incorrect, and "Bait Doll" will be shuffled into your Deck.
It seems that your opponent can choose whether or not he/she wants to activate the Trap Card. So yeah, I doubt many people will be stupid enough to negate Bait Doll with a Solemn Judgment. Or just about any other Trap Card that has a cost.

But still, you can still Bait Solemn Judgment, just to waste it. So it's all good.

I might consider replacing Heavy with Bait Doll. Hmm.

By far, the most bogus BKSS ever.

You force the card to be activated, but of course, that forced activation is still optional.
Nice way to contradict yourself, Konami.

Makes perfect sense to me. Bait Doll forces activation when it resolves, Solemn Judgment and other counter traps must be chained to the card they are negating. So when Bait Doll resolves what is Solemn Judgment trying to negate? The timing is off.

Exactly how I see it. How can Solemn negate a card that is already resolving? Of course, the fact that the player may activate it if they wish contradicts game mechanics and the forced activation. The way I see it, the ruling is hypocritical, and is not even necessary given chain mechanics.

Since this cant force counter traps I dont see this being particularly useful in any way in the main deck. However for those rare opponents who play trap heavy decks filled with Compulseraries and PWWB and whatnot this is MAYBE sidedeck worth.

Overall not particularly useful. However if it was changed to say that it forces the costs and if the timing is right the effect then itd be good.
