[DISC]Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning

Recommended Posts

-Laughably easy to summon, has 3000 ATK.

-For the "large" cost of not attacking that turn, it can remove one monster from play. Faceup or facedown, yours or your opponent's.

OR

-If it kills a monster, it transforms into a double attacker, and unlike Tyrant Dragon or Chimeratech, it doesn't need a monster out. Many times, it will kill something in battle and then attack directly. And with 3000 ATK, it'll be killing a lot of things in battle.

I love how Black Luster Soldier becomes an effect monster - gets banned.
Dark Magician of Chaos becomes an effect monster - gets banned.

I'm scarred to imagine all the other ones like BEWD and Dark Magician lol.

But yeah, we have chaos sorcerer and that alone shows how annoying of a card it can be let alone this guys extra ATK and FX.

Release this in the next Duelist Pack Collection Tin, along with CED. With 1 pack of Yugi, 1 of Kaiba and 1 of Joey or Marik, whichever they decide to do first (I would love Duelist Pack Rafael, but I don't think they'll do it until they are out of ideas...)

I want Duelist Pack: Dartz

although Shunoros would need one heck of an errata

Sometimes I think the logic for unbanning cards is "I wonder what'll happen..." and then it turns out the card doesn't wreak as much havoc as expected and they just leave it that way. Chaos Sorcerer, for example. But compared to this, Chaos Sorcerer isn't a huge issue. It can't hit facedown monsters like this can, has 700 less attack for the same summon condition, and doesn't have the double attack effect.

IOC- the pack that taught us all that cards CAN be made too powerful to exist in the game. The Chaos monsters were a mistake, an example of flawed design.

People who recognize that the card makes the game imbalanced aren't being hypocrites by using the card. They're just not being so stupid as to pass over such a powerful card and give themselves a crippling disadvantage since everyone ELSE will be running it.
