Before it starts, should this even hint at becoming a flame thread, it'll be locked immediately and further religion discussion will be forbidden in General. We are starting to have way too many of these, and I'm seriously considering putting a permanent stop to this sort of discussion, that very rarely ends well. So tread carefully on this one.

All religions look great on paper (lolbible), but in reality, they're not really practical.

And this has been bugging me for ages now, why do people start believing in God in those "hopless situations" anyways?`I mean, just of the top off my head, if you're financially troubled, you have to face it that it was your own fault you "believing" in God just so he/she could make it go away is just you being lazy etc. etc.

What I did was create a single thread for every religious issue people felt like discussing, but for some reason that thread vanished with the overhaul, or some moderator deleted it. As it is, all I can do is keep tabs on the ongoing discussions and lock what gets out of hand.
I'm considering forbidding the topic altogether, but I'm trying to be lenient for the moment.

Religion has always been what a person wants to believe. I could pick up a Pencil and say that it was my savior. I understand that people believe that there is a "God" that will protect them from things but to be honest it's not true. No, i'm not starting a War here. Where was God when I was abused as a Child huh? I was a born Christian but when God would not listen to my Cries fro help, I gave up. I closed my ears to God.
