DARKPLANT RISING
LV 4 WIND Psychic 1200/300 So far horrible. It looks like some card from Legend of BEWD. As for the effect: Once per turn, you can declare 1 card name. Cards with that name, and their effects, cannot be used until the End of your opponent’s next turn. Okay, it's pretty terrible. Of course it can probably stop an OTK for one turn, but since it can't stay on the field for one turn thinking logically, it's basically a card that has no meaning unless you have the draw power of a main character destined to save the world using children's trading cards. Let's take a look at a particular YCM'er's great quote. Do not lose this turn. Lose on the next. -Manjyoume
Manjoume Thunder
^ you dun get it Read a fd Ryko, summon this, declare ryko, attack and profit. Read/See a recruiter, summon this, declare it's name, atk and profit. See SDD, summon this, declare SDD, activate Smashing Ground and profit. It's pretty neat. evilfusion
This is a card with something called potential. Is it amazing on its own? No. Is it useful? Definitely. Will it see play? I'm inclined to say it would. Seal your opponent's cards, and in multiples, you could seal even more cards. Combo with hand destruction effects or bounce or other such things. You can stop Graveyard effects, stop Synchros you don't want them to play, keep Mirror Force from killing you, and so on. Heart of Clear Water can keep this around to keep doing shenanigans. I think this could be the basis of a fun deck. Convulsion of Nature + Robbin' Goblin+ This= profit?

evilfusion
Volcanic Rocket was a kickass TCG Exclusive. Made Volcanic decks remotely useable. evilfusion
You mean you think it's not? It's a level 4 Flip Effect that searches a level 3 or below Beast. It's infinitely more balanced than Rescue Cat, without being devoid of utility.
Buttercup
It searches Ryko for a plus and has an 1800 body. Wait.............I have an idea.
evilfusion
Searching Ryko means it's OPed? Having a decent defense score for a level 4 is OPed? It can't search itself, so it's not like most searchers.

evilfusion
Your argument seems to be against Ryko, not Hamster. Ryko's effect isn't exactly broken, and Wulf is a bigger problem with the mill. What Ryko does, almost all the other LS can do, too.
Buttercup
Ryko is splashable into multiple decks and it is almost always at least a 1 for 1 trade. However, it loses you tempo to play it and it is vulnerable to removal. Nimble removes all of Ryko's drawbacks.GO SUPER TL; DNR RESPONSE
evilfusion
There's a lot of cards in the game that remove another card's drawbacks, and some of them are searchers. I did a scan for the level 3 and below beasts that Hamster can bring that are actually good/abuseable when summoned, some especially since it's f/d. -Cat of Ill Omen -Bubonic Vermin -Des Koala -Desertapir (flip Hamster facedown and search again) -Guard Dog (lol) -Gyaku-Gire Panda -Hane Hane (lol) -Hyena -Key Mouse -Mine Mole -Moja -Neo-Spacian Dark Panther -Nimble Momonga -Nimble Musasabi -Rinyan, Lightsworn Rogue -Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter -Test Ape -Test Tiger -X-Saber Airbellum -X-Saber Darksoul Most of these cards were issues with Rescue Cat, can be searched by Giant Rat just as efficiently, and only some of them are especially good with Hamster's f/d search effect. In some cases, Hamster makes those cards useable, and in others, it makes those cards very good. Mainly Ryko. But that doesn't automatically make Hamster OPed. Manjoume Thunder
If anything, Ryko is the broken card, not Hamster.
Buttercup
...........................that was a terrible tl; dnr response. Let's have a look at this in terms of card advantage: SNMH's effect=+1 Ryko's effect=+1 If Ryko is destroyed=-1 +1 overall. So to stop this, you're going to need a 1900+ monster or some S/T removal and you're going to lose tempo anyway thanks to Ryko nuking your card. That is a skilless +1.
